Dr. Armstead is truly amazing. She listens, explains her thinking thoroughly and creates a treatment plan with you - not at you. You feel like a part of the process and can leave with confidence knowing that you’re being well cared for. I had such anxiety about going to the doctor as I had waited far too long. She did not judge me or my symptoms and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Can’t recommend her enough.
Dr Armstead is AWESOME, you never feel rushed and shes cares about your concerns.
She always takes the time to thoroughly listen to her patients & you can tell that she is genuinely compassionate and wants to help.
She really cares about her patients. Always listens and gives gid advice. Has helped me a lot with taking better care of myself.
Have to wait a while before she sees you, I found out I had high BP without a call from staff, received a call from pharmacy my script is ready for pick up. No calls to advise, talk about diet, etc. just more medicine. MA said she would send blood work order in mail to get it retested in 3 months. Never was sent or received. Doctor told MA to tell me to exercise more when I had 1 hip replacement & needed to have another. Just seen her a month prior for clearance to have surgery. Find another
First off, the amount of stars (5) for appointments, office environment, etc.. are not a reflection of Dr. Armstead, but the office staff. Armstead misdiagnosed every single person in my family, resulting in numerous trips to Motts, and a lot of worry for no reason. In fact, we were laughed at by UofM drs when we got there. Three of her misdiagnosis ended in hospital stays for two members in my family. We were finally fed up with the new patient factory, and awful level of care at IHA, and left.
Its hard to find a Dr who you can really trust. I found that with her. She is very patient and listens.
In reality, I should rate her for 5 people, in which she would get only one star, and only one star because I have to give one. She has misdiagnosed each person of my family, with two of us ending up in the ER and admitted because she refused to treat, based on her diagnosis, which was wrong. We have many friends in the Milan area that ended up quitting IHA because of her, and finding another doctor. We are so happy we did! Her misdiagnosis of me ended up with me needing surgery for serious illness. I can't believe she's allowed to practice medicine. She also failed to diagnose a serious kidney failure in one of my dearest friends. How sad! Complaints have been made, but apparently they refuse to address issues? Or don't find those issues serious enough to warrant having her released from her current practice. One that I used to have a lot of respect for.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
