The ER was the worst experience I’ve ever had. You don’t get put in an exam room. They treat everyone in the Triage area. I was in extreme pain and would’ve liked to lay down, but that’s not even an option. I was there for 7 hours. Once you get signed in you stay in the waiting area. I was put in a wheel chair and spent my day in the hallway. No one gets a nurse assigned to them. No one checks on you to see how you are. The ER shouldn’t be open if they can’t treat you. Instead of building new buildings—invest in staff.

I had had a surgery came back to my room with a roommate who had 11 visitors in the room and her nurse refused to do anything about it because I was not her patient. I felt like I was in a third world country. We went to see my MIL and the ER was absolutely filthy. There were so many people in the ER, many were hooked up to an IV slumped over in chairs, there were at least ten people in wheelchairs lined up in a row. Nobody was checking on these people! My MIL is critical but there’s no ICU beds available so she’s been in a room in the ER since Saturday. She was brought by ambulance and had no say in where to be treated and now can’t be moved so she’s stuck. Is there not another hospital in the area?Why would you willingly go here? How can they get away with this? I felt like I was in the Middle East or Africa, that’s how BAD it was.
