List of Larry Bennett's Reviews
I have found Dr. Bennett’s office/ practice to be quite refreshing, in that it’s a small office, small staff and everyone, including Dr. Bennett are very kind and helpful.
Dr. Bennet gave me the best check up I've ever had. Wait time was 10 min. Kelly was very nice and always calls to remind me of my appointment. I think he is a caring, thorough doctor.
This doctor has terrible bedside manner!
A lot of reviews here are focused on the receptionist or wait times. To those who did that, check yourselves because it is not helpful whatsoever. I'm giving this a one star for the following reasons: 1.) There is only an office and one space to see patients at a time. If you need a urine sample analyzed or a vaccination (outside of COVID shots), they will NOT offer it in office. 2.) Dr. Bennett himself won't pull up any electronic records. This makes paperwork a chore. Also, it is not just harder on the patient, but Dr. Bennet himself (whether he realizes it or not) because its harder to access records on prior visits. 3.) Tying into the above, this will lead to awkward situations. For example, a script was written for a vaccination. When I brought it to other offices, they questioned why I had one for a vaccination. 4.) I am on Medicaid and his office does not know how to handle Health Risk Assessment forms required under some plans. I had to walk them through the process.

I checked the procedures they did for my physical and they are VERY outdated practices. He and his office do not appear to be up to date with the medical literature.
Dr. Bennett is an excellent Dr, just very old school. I've seen him for a number of years now. I'm 39, with a number of chronic health conditions, and he manages all of them. He writes most of my prescriptions, and writes referrals when I need them for specialists. He always schedules follow ups, and makes sure not to leave you hanging after he writes a prescription. Fortunately you can get an appointment in a few days, or the often that day, if it's a day they're open, and it's urgent. What he does not do is anything over the phone or computer. He won't call in refills, he doesn't do any sort of telehealth, etc. If you want something from him, you schedule an appointment and see him in the office. You talk to him in the office. You see the nurse Kelly. You get paper prescriptions at the front desk. They do referrals and insurance work on Fridays. That's how it is. If you want to see a good Dr he's your guy. If you want a modern practice, this isn't the best choice.
I used to love this office and doctor. However, the receptionist now is awful. She never answers the phone. I called for weeks leaving voicemails saying I'm joking the services and need medical records. I never got a call back. After three weeks I sent my mom in to ask about it since I work during their office hours whom was told I just called which was a bald faced lie. Even my mom and dad both had tried to call with no response. Upon going in today I noted to the nurse my being upset in regards to making over 20 phone calls with no return call to even tell me what I needed to do, fill out a paper requesting my records. She was rude telling me that is not their priority and that they have 30 days to get you the records. I responded that is fine that they have that time frame but that the inability to even return one of the many voicemails I left requesting my records to tell me what to do is an issue. It was brushed of as it was of no concern. If she had even just said "I'm sorry you did not get a call back. If you fill this out we will get it to you within 30 days." I would have been fine. But instead I was pretty much told you don't matter and we don't care. Then when my Dr came in he stated "I hear your not happy." I stated "you're right I am not." He again told me medical records are not important to him. I again stated that is not the issue. It is the lack of even a call back to say what I needed to do after over 20 phone calls. He then stated "I'm giving you 30 days of meds find somewhere else to go." So all in all their receptionist gets to not return calls and if you need/want something oh well. Common courtesy is dead in that office. Which is sad I loved the office prior. But they were rude and inhospitable even though I was short in my responses after the nurse was rude.i never raised my voice, cursed, or was hostile in any fashion.
They started me on antipsychotics amd dropped me as a patiwmt suddenly with no regard to my safety. The receptionist also lied about me being 15 minutes late and they saw me anyway which is a blatant lie. Also I have called ams called and left messages just to be told that I never left any messages at all.
The receptionist now is awful. She never answers the phone. I called for weeks leaving voicemails saying I'm joining the military & need medical records. I never got a call back. After three weeks I sent my mom in to ask about it since I work during their office hours whom was told I just called which was a bald faced lie. Even my mom & dad both had tried to call as well. Upon going today I noted to the nurse my being upset in regards to making 22 phone calls with no return call to even tell me what I needed to do, fill out a form. It was brushed of as it was of no concern. Dr Bennet came in and gave 30 days of meds and told me to go somewhere else. I had not raised my voice or been crude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
