List of S. Andrei Ostric's Reviews
Went for a trigger finger release. Dr. Ostric performed carpal tunnel surgery. Ended up with more pain than before. Go elsewhere!
Dr. Ostric didn’t stop trying to diagnose me even though I didn’t present normally. He’s very thorough and kind!
Dr Ostric is very professional and has helped me tremendously treating some medical issues with my hands. I highly recommend.
Once again, Dr. Ostric has come to my aid. First was when my son was younger and needed hand surgery and then for me when I suffered from carpel tunnel syndrome, trigger finger in my thumb and the RA pain in both of my thumbs. He has been fantastic and attentive in each case. I just went in to see him today. He gave me a steroid shot between the base of my thumb bone and hand bone. With the state of the art equipment he uses we can actually see where he's at and he can navigate in a way that another Dr. without this equipment couldn't. This is the first shot I've had in two years. The outcome wouldn't be as good without it. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for the best care for their hands and wrists. Better yet, he's a heck of a nice guy.
Explain the procedure very well, friendly and thorough.
Initial consultation was somewhat brief and steered to surgery without hesitation. Procedural efficient but after surgery no communication until my checkup. When my pain didn't go away, even got worse, the process of diagnosis seemed lacking. I have acute pain in my left hand and can't pick up handled items, like a gallon of milk, without pain and loss of strength. My right isn't much better. Have chronic pain and weakness. I called after 3 months of rest for an appointment after the pain increased. Had to leave a message with the scheduler and never received a call back. They didn't have a problem with billing me though. I called because I was still getting one bill a month for three months and when I questioned a duplicate amount, I was treated like I didn't know what I we talking about. She finally agreed to email me her copies but sent the same page twice. I replied and she never responded. I sent her copies of my bills with questions, once again no response. Let the search begin.
Very patient focused
Very congenial pre-op. Post op any concerns from me were disregarded and disrespected. I've seen 2 other specialists. Agreed very unsatisfactory outcome that any surgical intervention for, at this time, is too risky. His procedure was textbook. I question if it was proper diagnosis, correct procedure for me. Life sentence for me that now it's so much worse.
The doctor's response to an error made by in house staff which caused a very serious infection. The doctor did not handled professionally and became became abusive and failed to do any further follow up with his surgical procedure. Having to return to my primary to be refered to another surgeon to finish with follow up and rehabilitation. A complaint has been filed and it is strongly advised to anyone who is abused by a physician to make a full report with your insurance company. This physician is private practice and not in the Mercy Health Partners group so your recourse is through your insurance company and if you are workman' comp you still are not expected to accept poor quality health care.
No. Very poor healthcare provider. Physician has very little communication skills. When faced with a serious issue the physician shows signs of aggression towards the patient instead of quickly resolving the issue with the patient's care being his utmost concern. This physician was more concern for himself than for the care and well being of his patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
