A great place to manage your mental health!!
Son was recommended to see a therapist tele health. Saw her once said he wasn’t feeling a connection Second session he said he wanted to cancel. No help from psychiatrist, no explanation of tx, no description of bill. Now they are hassling him for over $247!! A racket that definitely does not care about patients just money!
Christina Lawton is wonderful! She is a very good listener & has helped me figure out where I need help the most. The Center for Counseling office staff are very kind, helpful & professional.
The Center for Counseling is an amazing place. There is no judgement. Everyone has compassion. I feel very comfortable there.
I have been doing remote sessions regularly here for several years now. I love that there are Telehealth options, and the copays are so easy to pay through the portal. I can’t even begin to explain how much this place has helped me. My quality of life has drastically improved with the tools I’ve learned from getting therapy here. You cannot expect someone else to swoop in and “save you.” Therapy is WORK, and sometimes the truth is tough to hear. But if you put the work in and use the tools they give you, you can make tremendous progress toward a better life. I look forward to sessions now, there is always more to learn. I should have started therapy decades ago, but better late than never!
Amazing care. Timely responses, good availability, lovely staff. I would recommend to family and friends & anyone else who asked. 🙂
This place doesnt help.
Saw mrs cowling a few times. She didn’t gather much history on me. In my second appointment she kept saying that it was my 3rd time seeing her when it wasn’t. I wanted to focus on family issues and was using different examples to give her a picture of what I’ve experienced. She decided to focus on my living situation rather than the issues I wanted to focus on. She also stated that what I was seeking in my care wasn’t offered anymore because “the government owns the mental health services now”. All I wanted was a professional to talk to and to be evaluated so I could be taught new tools and coping skills to better manage my life. At my 3rd appointment i asked her what she could do for me. Even though she offers the services I’m requesting she still seemed like she didn’t want to help me. Multiple times she mentioned a psychiatrist even though 1) she hasn’t diagnosed me with anything and 2) I made it clear that I wasn’t looking for immediate treatment as far as medication was concerned. Again she wanted to focus on my living situation rather than the family issues I was bring up. I’ve never left an appointment feeling worse than when I went in until this. I have been crying for help and no one will help me. It’s disgusting that people in this field of work would cause more harm to someone already unstable and begging for help.
Went in for depression and wasn’t offered any help. Jessica was the “counselor” and didn’t listen to a single thing that was said. Continued to ask the same questions over and over and seemed like she was on drugs herself.
I have been here twice and Ms. Sheila is amazing. After 2nd meeting with her, I felt positive and I really want to work to make myself feel good about ME! Ms. Sheila treated me with respect and showed me she cared. I highly recommend coming here. I didn’t have any problems with receptionist. She was also very kind.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
