List of William D Barker's Reviews
Dr. Barker is the best Dr I've ever had and I drive an hour just to see him.
Will randomly put you on narcotics as a quick fix for undiagnosed paininstead of referring you to a specialist, up you to stronger dose and keep you on for a year and a half to two years, then randomly just not fill it one day and when you call and ask what's going on his way of communicating with you is having his rude receptionist say "Dr Barker would like to keep his license" as if that has anything to do with you.You then get to detox off a script HE PUT YOU ON cold turkey without any warning and when all is said and done you get certified mail at your door that you are no longer his patient. Thought I was the only one, and that there was a huge misunderstanding but I've heard of this happening with Dr. Barker to 4 other people now over the years and I need to say something. This isn't how you treat your patients. And even if you do suspect addiction issues you DO NOT randomly choose to not fill their scheduled script and boot them with no explanation. You at the very least wean the prescription or send them to addiction counseling if you don't want to deal with them anymore.Dr. Barker was my first lesson in how medical professionals look at you like a number despite seeing you for years. He saw me since I was five years old and didn't bat at eye at doing this. He never spoke to me personally whatsoever when he dropped me as a patient, he hid behind his receptionist. I didn't have addiction issues before seeing Dr. Barker, but I did after and it took me years to recover. I can't help but think what could have been different if he wouldn't have gotten exasperated after sending me to one specialist without answers, trying weaker drugs first, or at the very least, weaning me off the NORCOS and eventually upped to OXYS he STARTED me on at 120 A MONTH 10 mgs. THATS 4 A DAY PEOPLE!!! He completely changed the trajectory of my life and all I did was take his prescription as directed until he cut them off without warning and didn't help me whatsoever. I know he will never read this, nor does he care but I'm not the only person he has hurt by operating like this.
I've been seeing Dr. Barker for over 15 years now, I have referred several friends and family members and they all LOVE him! Outstanding bedside manor, Dr. Barker is always professional but in a way that you feel like you're friends, he seems to genuinely care about you, I've never felt rushed he takes time to listen and understand you, he is extremely knowledgeable and always will make time for you. Dr. Barker is an extraordinary physician who earned my trust and kept it all these years, I would give him 10 STARS if I could!!!

My husband LOVES Dr Barker. He is very knowledgable and not pushy to try to put him on all kinds of junky medication.Great doc!!!
Dr. Barker is the best. Only doc I've ever had that takes the time to listen to your issues and actually cares. He's professional but makes it seem like a friend is treating you. Highly recommend.
The Best family physician ever... very caring
I have been seeing Dr. Barker from almost the beginning, i was one of his first patients. Dr. Barker is amazing! I travel all the way from Grosse Pointe to Chesterfield just to see him. He is full of knowledge and has a great sense of humor and a fun personality. I keep tell Dr. Barker that I deserve a parking spot at his office because I was one of his firsts!
Great office! Dr. Baker and his staff are amazing. I've been going here for 10+ years.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
