Addington Place Of Northville's Online Review Report Card

My mom moved to Addington Place November 2021. Before she moved in the management staff was very kind and helpful and kept reminding me that it will take about 6 weeks for adjustment - on mom’s part and on the staffs’ part. This was very true. I urge anyone moving a loved one into memory care - wait a full 6-8 weeks before making a judgment. Those first few months were very hard, but mostly for me :) Mom was happy, comfortable, and the staff have gotten to know her and her needs very well. I’m very happy with mom’s care and would recommend Addington Place to everyone.

management does not care about their residents or safety it all revolves around money,they lie and cover up.very poor resident care!

My sister and I thought this would be a good memory care for my mother. Boy were we blindsided. Only kept my mother there for 3 months. The aids were terrible. The head nurses were not very kind at all to residents. They did not want the residents to make friends with each other. It was very sad. They over sedated my mother to the point she could not move. She had a fall so they put her in front part of building of which they put all those residents in Gerry chairs, put them in a circle to watch TV. They would not be able to talk to each other, get off chairs. Like prisoners. Couple of aides went on break to there cars and came back smelling like weed. Really? They are going to take care of residents after that? How unprofessional is this facility. I and my sister fed other residents that could not move their meals, otherwise there food would turn cold as not enough professional staff. I felt so sorry for the residents.My sister and I were so very, very glad to have found another beautiful, professional, qualified facility for my mother. At addington my mother was very sad and physically looking older. At facility we moved her to after 3 months, wow what a difference. She looked younger, met and spoke with other residents. My mom acted a lot more like my mother and not down and depressed. I would not want anyone else to go through this hell at Addington Place. Please don’t be deceived by this place!!!!!

My husband was at Addington Place for 17 months. From day one, the staff consistently worked to individualize his care and accommodate for his changing needs. I always felt that we were a team working together to provide him with the best care during a difficult time. The entire staff was always friendly and respectful. Caregivers were exceptional, always going above and beyond what was required. Facilities were clean, meals/snacks well-prepared and modified as needed, activities interesting and fun, and ongoing staff education was impressive.I highly recommend Addington Place for your loved ones.

Amazing facility.... very caring, helpful, and most importantly experienced staff. Clean, quiet, and very accommodating . Keep up the great work and amazing care.

I am an elder law attorney. I have visited 5 clients who have been living in Addington Place. They are always out of their rooms and involved in their community. Their families tell me of the wonderful care their loved ones are receiving and how well many of them are responding to their environment.

We are grateful to Addington Place for the quality care they give to their residents. After looking at multiple facilities, we were thrilled to find caring management and caregivers, a clean facility, nice meals, and entertaining activities. Every time I am there, I see such a comfortable rapport between the caregivers and residents, it truly speaks to quality health care.

My Aunt has been a resident here for over a year and we have been happy with the care. They offer activities and the staff is attentive. The community is lovely and the management and caregivers are very caring and I recommend to anyone to consider this for their loved ones who suffer from dementia as a safe and secure and caring environment.

I would not recommend this place to a family member. My father was so n this facility for less the a week. During this one week my father was sent to the hospital several time because they were not know how to handle a patient with dementia and behavioral issue. However they claim they do. Beware of staff they act look like caring and compassionate people but that is not true. Once they have your money they do not want anything to do with you for help in any way. We did end up moving my father to a different facility at that time they harass my mother and sent collection agency to my mother's home at 9 p.m. my mother is 88 years old this is uncalled for.when I tried to call the office and speak to them they never had any answers for me they would not even give me the number to corporate however you are able to find corporate number if anybody ever needs it is available on the internet. needless to say after my dad spent only one week in the facility they still charge my mother the full amount of a month. Because I was not able to provide a month in advance of when he was getting out. even though they stated to me they did not want him back at the facility. I hope this helps someone out there who is looking for a caring facility just be aware of Addington place they're not the people that you think that they are there. There are many great facilities out there for your loved ones but this place is not one of them.I'm not seeking to get a post back of saying I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience at our facility I'm just trying to warn other people this it's not the facility for their loved ones.

My work experience at Addington Place has been nothing short of amazing and refreshing. Management are constantly making improvements when it comes to staffing and patient centered care. The team at Addington Place are like family and we love our residents like they're our own. From our wonderful ED, Sherri who stays over constantly to make sure residents and families needs are met and that our building as a whole is taken care of, to our wonderful new DON Kim who are making sure policies are implemented amongst other medical needs are met. All of the staff show up and advocate for the residents in this facility. There is always room for improvement in any situation and we are taking ALL the correct steps and we are moving forward. Please come out and tour our facility, come meet with us! We would love for your loved one to be an addition to our family like -setting! Addington STRONG!
