List of Nathan J Bloch's Reviews
The staff are friendly and helpful, and all the docs listen to what you have to say. I feel they are working for their patients.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bloch for 20+ years. They practice is efficient, thorough, and easily accessible. I appreciate the consideration Dr. Bloch gives to finding effective economical treatments. I’ve been so impressed, I just brought my 89 year old father as a “new patient”. The team spent more than an hour getting to know my dad, review his prior treatments, and set a course for care. Very impressive.... again!
I have been going here for several years now. But recently I was stuck with bills for a test that was 100% covered by my insurance if the referral that had been sitting in my chart had ever made it to them to be approved. My insurance doesn't allow for backdating. The doctors are otherwise great, but I am not happy with getting stuck with these bills when it was their error.
I have been seeing Dr. Bloch for a few years and for the most part I have nothing but great things to say about him. He is very funny and he is knowledgeable. Caught a bacterial infection that I believe most doctors wouldn't have even looked for. My biggest issue is sometimes the follow through can be lacking. I have had to remind him to run specific tests from time to time for a preexisting condition. The staff in the Northville office can be hit or miss. I have interacted with some really lovely people and I have been in the waiting room a few times when the staff argues with clients. As a "hard stick" that often requires blood draws, I rarely walk out poked more than once or covered in bruises. I appreciate that they have a phlebotomist on site. They have early morning appointments and I am typically in and out in less than an hour. Maybe my expectations are too high but I can't go 5 stars. I want to be fixed and maybe that isn't possible, but at least I feel like Dr. Bloch tries.
I have been going to this clinic for about seven years. In that time I've only had one or two long waits. Love the after hours option for people that work. Chris is one of the best doctor's I have ever had.
Horrible experience. I have been back there 5 times in the last month and have yet to see a dr. My physicians assistant was fine, all the office staff as well as most of the nurses were unprofessional and incompetent. If i could figure out how to post a picture of the bruises they left while taking blood i would! They said horrible things to me. One said my EKG could be my norm or it could be a precurser for a heart attack, its hard to say. Another told me i had “all kinna blood in my urine” and after 2 weeks i still dont know why. Run.
I have written 1 other review in my 59 1/2 years. I felt it was incumbent for me to do so again in this case. I have been going to this office for several years because of insurance. In that time I have seen my Dr. twice. It is usually a PA, and generally a new one as they turn over with regularity. When I need a perscription refilled for Omeprozole I bit the bullet that he always requires I come in for a "check up" before refilling. I've been on it for YEARS, he's the only Dr. requiring this, and doesn't do anything but collect the $$$. I requested a diet Rx, that he had written in one of two times he saw me. This time though the PA required a urine tt. She then told me I had a "substance of concern". I showed her the Rx for the "substance". Apparently this PA, knows better than the primary physician. Needless to say I felt utterly humiliated. I will NEVER consider going back to this office under any circumstance.
We have heard staff sit at desk numerous times complaining about how they do not like their job and that they feel unappreciated. Also have heard them making unkind comments about patients Also charges you when you have called to reschedule or they call you to tell you not to come in. Then won't reschedule until you pay what you actually do not owe. Dr. can be rude and condescending like he is your boss, instead of a dr that you and your insurance company are paying very good money to. Would not recommend
I’ll start with positive- Dr. Bloch is patient, listens and takes time to explain things. There is also 1 nurse that’s great and friendly.Negative- Office seems poorly run. I had multiple occasions (over the years) of staff not calling back when they said they would, not understanding next steps/follow up appts/or acting irritated when I would call with a question. Long wait times. Outdated office that doesn’t seem very clean. Had 2 different nurses on separate appointments for a blood draw complain about other staff members or being overworked- very unprofessional. Also, not the vibe you want right before they put a needle in your arm. Last straw was not listening to me and looking into the side effects I mentioned for a newer prescription I was on and they just wanted to put me right back on it. I went somewhere else for second opinion and those were known (and dangerous) side effects and there are other options despite them telling me there weren’t. Side note: if you have any thyroid issues see an endocrinologist, don’t rely on this office.
I have been going to Main Street Medical for a long time. Dr. Bloch is always spot-on with his diagnosis & treatment. The staff has always been polite and quite friendly. They shown concern. Although I will say there are times when I have to wait awhile, but not too often. I think communicating through the portal is a great way to get a pretty quick response, like by end of day or early next morning.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
