Angela Fleming's Online Review Report Card

I had a great Experience with Dr. Fleming. She was very nice and answered my questions and made sure i understood everything she was telling me. I am a larger lady and she did not make me feel bad or make me uncomfortable. I will say calling to make an appointment with her was a little difficult, but most busy doctors are like that.

The doctor is great and so is most of the staff. But I had a bad experience: A few days before the appointment for my annual gyn exam, Marissa called me to tell me she was calling to inform me that my appointment with Dr. Fleming was less than 365 from my last exam and she was going to cancel my appointment and I could go online to try to reschedule because she had no open appointments. I asked her not to cancel my appointment, I assured her I would pay if the insurance didn’t cover it. She insisted that she had to cancel the appointment. She also said that if I did come in they would not bill my insurance for my visit since the appointment did not meet the 365 day criteria (2 days later the officer manager told was not true). I begged her not to cancel, I explained that since I’ve had cancer multiple time I cannot delay my appointments. Since she keep insisting she had to cancel my appointment I asked to speak with the manager. After putting me on hold she came back and said she would make a file note that I was informed about the possible insurance problem. Marissa caused me a great deal of distress, this is not the way to treat patients.

Very unprofessional bad energy and uncaring!

Dr. Fleming was a wonderful doctor and very informative. She answered all of my questions and gave me details on my procedure and what to expect. Her bedside manner was kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend Dr. Fleming to anyone looking for an OBGYN.

This was our first pregnancy. From the start, we had a terrible experience with Dr. Fleming's office. I made initial contact, as my fiancée was anxious about making the appointment. I was met with terse impatience over the phone when I didn't know every detail of her menstrual cycle. Unfortunately, it did not end there. At the first appointment, the front desk staff was very rude. The doctor kept reiterating "if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask", yet questions were answered with an annoyed tone, and she was constantly shuffling her things and looking to the door. We did not feel as though we had her energy and attention, and felt like an inconvenience the entire time. At check-out, the staff member was very rude when asked about the paperwork we were told we would receive - and in the end, that specific paper was not included in our check-out packet. The date of our first ultrasound was miscommunicated to us, and yet again the response to our confusion was annoyance. It is our first pregnancy, how were we supposed to understand the timeline? It was hardly explained to us. At our second appointment, a transvaginal ultrasound took place. The technician informed us that there was no fetus, and moved us to another room to speak with the doctor. There was hardly any compassion or bedside manner to accommodate the shock of our miscarriage. We were stiffly informed that we could have a procedure to remove the gestational sack, or we could miscarry naturally. There was no discussion of how long, painful, and scary a miscarriage could be. We were not informed that tampons would cause toxic shock. We were not informed how much bleeding was normal. We were asked to return "just to check in on the miscarriage" and were not informed of the severity and necessity of the follow-up appointments. The miscarriage ended up taking place while on vacation, and we learned everything we needed to know from Google and a 2 am ER visit in the middle of nowhere due to fears over bleeding levels. This was an absolutely horrendous experience. We were ill-informed, afraid, and completely alone. We did not feel cared for, welcome, or valued in any form throughout this short and horrifying pregnancy. We will absolutely not return to this office, and urge any new mothers to avoid them as well.

Dr. Fleming really cares for her patients. I was having issues that she was very knowledgeable about and she gave me great advice. Her bedside manner is amazing!!!

While Dr. Angela Fleming appears superficially knowledgeable and does initially take detailed notes, she is ultimately extremely terse, dishonest, cruel and dismissive. My pain is disabling after a failed endometriosis surgery with her and her solution was to terminate me as a patient rather than try to help. I cannot urge others more strongly to avoid her.
