Gregory Vincent Mcintosh's Online Review Report Card

Front office is not competent. Every visit there was a reason he could not be seen. Visited the office a total of four times without being seen. Was referred to another urologist, Dr C. Maitland. He is excellent.

I had blood in my urine and was told to see my urologist. Dr. Mcintosh was off so I saw Dr. Hoff. He set me up for ulta-sound and another appointment a month later. My wife a nurse told me to go to Henry Ford Emergency where they kept me over night did and MRI with contrast and found I had a large lump on one kidney (cancer). I was scheduled for surgery. Good thing I didn't wait an extra month. It may have spread to other organs. If I don't do another rating, you'll know I didn't make it.

Doctor McIntosh is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain your experience

Rushed through examination, spoke very quickly and generically, extremely poor patient rapport- seemed as though he wanted to get in and out of the room as quickly as possible, less than five minutes spent with the doctor. Dismissed any questions I had about my condition without a second thought. Truly just went through the motions before walking out and closing the door. I have found out more from googling my condition than the doctor remotely covered, a conditon I am still struggling with despite his advice to "take ibuprofen for pain." I am seeking another urologist for a second opinion. Overall the worst experience I have had with a doctor. Would not recommend to anyone.

3/5/19 My experience with Dr. Gregory Mcintosh was awful. I had a terrible bladder infection. He gave me no medication. Sent me for x-rays and ultrasound and a week later when I had a fever and was vomiting I begged his office for the results and nobody would help me after 4 phone calls. I cancelled my flight I had planned to go see my daughter and had to go see another Urologist. They gave me medication immediately. I suffered an extra week for no reason. I was so sick. Still no call yet.

I was in hospital in another state in very serious condition complications from a kidney stone. Back in MI I saw Dr McIntosh for the first time. I found him very patient, understanding of my concerns and very personable. He changed the treatment that was recommended, explained thoroughly why, and made sure I understood and agreed. He treated the stone and put me on a special diet. I have been well since. His nurses are very professional and knowledgeable, helpful when I call. The office staff are very pleasant and so far any wait I have had has been minimal.

I'm a patient of Dr. McIntosh and all I can say he is caring and serious about his patients. I have nothing but good things to say about him.
