Could not asked for a better hand surgeon. Had carpal tunnel surgery and I could not have had a better result. Doing other hand as soon.

I sustained an accidental stab injury to my hand. I am a PA in internal medicine myself and didn’t want to go through the ER so the day after the injury, my husband called around to different orthopedic hand specialists to try and get me in ASAP, including the office associated with the hospital where I work. No one was willing to see me for almost a week. I was pretty sure I was going to need hand surgery given the depth of the injury and residual numbness and didn’t feel comfortable waiting a week. My husband called Dr Placzek’s office. The receptionist spoke with Dr Placzek regarding my injury and symptoms and he wanted me seen ASAP and the receptionist was able to get me in that afternoon. I was impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of everyone I encountered that day during my appointment. I was scheduled for surgery the next day and the entire day was smooth from start to finish and I was once again impressed with my care. Being in healthcare myself, I have high standards and the orthopedic office and surgery center checked all the boxes for meeting exceptional care. Thank you for the amazing care and for fixing my precious hand, Dr Placzek! I am forever grateful!

Very professional and friendly. Takes time to explain things. I've seen him for elbow and most recently, a broken hand. I was able to see the doctor the day after I broke my hand. Highly recommend.

Dr. Placzek helped me when my rheumatologist couldn't. Fast diagnosis with accurate treatment. He got my hand out of pain. He did recommend to see a rheumatologist again. Thank you Dr. Placzek!

Greedy office canceled my appointment an hour before scheduled and hung up on me. Refused to see me for attempting to redact a section regarding patients being charged $10 per form & having bills sent to my residence to avoid duplicate charges on my HSA. Even after offering to accept their predatory fee structure, they refused to see me because I was now deemed 'noncompliant'. Would not be surprised if they try and charge me for 'cancelation within 24 hours'. Shame on them.

Dr. Placzek entered the room with an attitude that suggested I was wasting his time. He asked me what brought me in then cut me off within 10 seconds. He never did get to hear what all my issues were. He mimimized my pain, told me other females have it worse, and asked me what I expected him to do. He scoffed at my other doctor and surgeon treatments and suggested I was chasing surgery, all while offering zero diagnosis and no suggestions other than to live with my "little bit of pain" and "try strengthening the hands". I left his office and sat in my car and cried. It's one thing if he feels he can't help me. I can appreciate that. It's a whole different game to minimize and ridicule and scoff so that he can feel better about refusing to treat me. Maybe he's good at surgery for injuries; he clearly was not willing to deal with my chronic issues, though, and chose to belittle me instead of being honest.

As a PT I’m very picky about who I would let operate on my hands. Dr. Placzek has done phenomenal work on me - reconstructing a wrist completely restoring function. I’ve made a number of referrals and will continue to do so.

Doctor placzek is amazing! And Heather was so helpful in filling out my work forms!

Have had 3 surgeries with Dr Placzek, all went well. I have found the office staff to be very caring and helpful. James, his PA, is also very caring and gentle, especially when giving cortisone shots.
