List of Eric Stockall's Reviews
The office staff at Dr. Stockalls office, on Jolly Road are absolutely worthless. During the almost 6 months my dad was a patient before entering hospice I could never get a call back when I had a question or concern. They never had the supplies in office that I would need to help me with dad‘s catheter. I always ended up with a prescription that I had to take to different medical supply stores in Lansing looking for the things I needed. They made a difficult time all the harder by their lack of help and understanding. If I could give them zero stars I would. I’m beginning to learn that anything Mclaren may not have been a good choice. Most times ends up with just more questions and no answers.
My sister had surgery last week, and this doctor never introduced himself prior to surgery. Stopped in, looked at her chart, said see you soon, and left. It was suppose to be a 45 minute surgery. It showed he had 15 surgeries that day... Watched the screen for details,. She was in surgery for less than 20 minutes. He never came out to the waiting room to give any details. Then, he NEVER CAME TO HER ROOM TO GIVE DETAILS after her surgery!!. Nurse came in and said she could go home. He asked if the doctor came in to talk with us, and I said no. He was confused. I said we weren't leaving till we found out what they did. Why surgery went so quickly. He needed to talk to is at least once. He didn't call later that day, the next day, or Monday, after the weekend. She had no follow up appointment made yet either. WHAT DOCTOR HAS THIS LITTLE CONCERN FOR HIS PATIENT. I'd never go to him.
Dr. Stockall was the most unprofessional physician I have ever seen, and I was downright disgusted by my visit. He had his cell phone in his shirt pocket, the camera pointed directly at my lower bare half as he performed a scope. The phone was playing music and the camera flash was lighting up. He was inattentive and rushed, he interrupted me when I was explaining my troubles, called me by the wrong name repeatedly. He gave little instruction, precise with nothing. He would not tell me where he was going to touch me and for what purpose before doing it. He carried on as if he were hurriedly performing an autopsy, skilled with the tools and procedure themselves, but entirely forgetting that his patient was a person with concerns and even the most mild expectations of being treated decently. I may as well have been dead, for how well he listened to me and regarded me with respect. I refused to ever see him again.
He did me ok. I was like the last surgery before the covid shutdown. Even give me his personal cell number if I had questions or problems .
Never introduced himself or spoke with me before or after my surgery which he performed.
If you want to end up disfigured go see him. He ended up putting me in a diaper. He caused me a lot of pain too. He doesn’t check your medical history or what’s wrong with you. Stay away from his clinic. He’s a TERRIBLE Doctor.
So far great job fast dependable only Doctor to ever give us his cell number incase we have problems or questions after release!
I had surgery in 2014. It was scheduled for 1:30pm. I lay on just a gurney until 5pm, when they finally took me in. I guess I'm a slow learner. Saw the office Thursday, and still trying to get a prescription filled. It's now Monday; I took my last pill last Wednesday night. Seems like as a woman, I'm basically steered toward surgeries. I never see the doctor in the office.
Dr Stockall is an incredible surgeon. My procedure went extremely well. Minimally invasive, much less discomfort and faster recovery. This doctor takes great pride in all his work. Entire staff literally “adopts” you throughout all your interactions.
Dr Stockall told my dad “your 86 years old, you don’t need to come back”. Apparently, he was not worth this Dr’s precious time.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
