John Whapham's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Whapham saved my father’s life. My dad suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and was taken to the ER at St. Mary’s in Decatur. Dr. Whapham stepped in to care for him remotely right away, and facilitated his safe transfer to St. John’s in Springfield. Dr. Whapham performed an angiogram on him upon arrival. He spent plenty of time educating us on what might be the best treatment for my dad. Since my dad’s aneurysm was a unique shape, Dr. Whapham consulted with one of his colleagues and asked him to weigh in on the treatment plan as well. This meant the world to us! If it were not for Dr. Whapham’s swift actions, clinical knowledge and honesty, my dad may not be here today. We can truly never thank this man enough.

It's been almost two years and I'll never forget Dr wappan are his nurse. He's a wonderful doctor caring, I recommend him to anyone for as an aneurysm or stroke he's the best. Does anybody know I would love to know where he's practicing at now anybody please tell me thank you. Jessica Knight

I have never had a better doctor. He came to the room and took me to the operating room himself. Great bedside manner. Explains everything that needs to be done in layman's terms. The whole family loves him. He was right with me when I woke up after both of my surgeries.

I was impressed with his knowledge and the thoroughness of his explanations. He checked back with us more than once a day after her surgery and always took adequate time to answer our questions. I would trust him.

Dr. Whapham is an amazing person and that says a lot about what kind of surgeon he is. His dedication to his craft and compassion that he has for his patients are second to none. I am a patient of Dr. Whapham's and it was by far the best experience i have ever had with the medical industry as a whole. He is innovative in his thinking of what medical care could be in the future and what he is doing right now. Dr. Whapham is hands down the the only neurologist that I would want with my life in his hands. That said I would trust him with my life anytime. This kind of care doesnt come around often if ever for some patients. Thank you Dr Whapham for your hard work and dedication, without you in place there would be a more negative ending to most patients stories.

He told her maybe she should get another opinion. Which it takes a really strong and good doctor to admit he was afraid and unsure. As most act as though they know everthing. He even flew in other surgeons just for her. We love him!!!

What a true asset he is for any hospital to have. He was compassionate and showed great concern for us. He spent time explaining what was happening and he was correct every time when others there were not. We were on vacation when Larry suffered a brain aneurysm. We believe Dr. Whapham is an angel sent from God. We would recommend him above all others.

Big ego, but worthless
