List of Beaumont Center For Pain Medicine's Reviews
My sister, who has been addicted to pain opioids for over 30 years comes here. Unfortunately in October her colon ruptured due to constipation from Norco abuse and now has an ostomy bag. This was all due to the amounts of Pain pills she was given after her 5th back surgery. Imagine a script written for 5 Norco pills a day for a month. A month script of 150 pills! This is not what I call Pain Management. It's aiding an elderly addicted senior.
FIND A DIFFERENT FACILITY! On my fifth spinal steroid injection, Dr. Sapeicka and his team missed the spot for the epidural steroid injection. I roared with pain on the table and the response from the doctor was "What do you want me to do about it? I've never had this happen before". I'm not a doctor and had no idea what to say. Needless to say, while no injection is guaranteed to work, they aren't supposed to leave you with more pain than you came in with. The shot utterly failed. Not only did I get no relief, I've had deep spinal bruising, steroid flush and lower back pain from this disastrously botched procedure for more than two months. Despite a visit back to see the nurse and multiple calls with their office manager, there is "nothing they can do about it" and that this is just something that happens and I should schedule another appointment. No way. There are better doctors that won't hurt you. Don't go here.
They were all very polite. Especially since the power went out.
They gave me the wrong medication. I had a consultation with the PA and let her know that I don’t handle steroids well at all but I’ve had kenalog (triamcinoline) in the past and it worked well. I let her know that I had a bad reaction to dep medrol and that I cannot tolerate that medication at all. She said that makes it easy for her and the Dr and she would order a kenalog injection for my back pain. I went for the injection and was not informed what medication I was getting. I was just told it was a corticosteroid injection. I assumed it was the kenalog since that’s what I was told at the consult appointment. After the visit I was walking to my car and the pain was getting worse and worse. By the end of the night I could barely sit or stand up or do anything other than lay flat on my back. I began to feel nauseous but have horrible food cravings, developed a bad headache and my scalp and jaw line had broken out in hives. The following day I checked my aftercare sheet to see if it had any info and it said I was given the depo medrol injection. I called the office and they gave me a number to call and complain to but it still doesn’t fix the problem. Most of the staff were very kind less the initial nurse I saw before I met with the Dr and nurses in the injection room, but kindness doesn’t fix that I was given a medication that I specifically said I cannot handle. Returned for a follow up visit and met with a nurse practitioner who was extremely dismissive of my pain and blew me off, told me all I could do was rest and brace my back.. which is what I have been doing for years. I have exhausted all other treatment options, that’s why I’m at a pain clinic. This place is hands down the worst medical experience I’ve ever had in my life so far.
yesterday afternoon i received an injection for pain. i had a different doctor, that i gave a hard time (not really hard) But today i feel a million times better! Sorry I don't have the Doctors name... but i feel so much better ***** Thank you all, doctor and all the ladies who took care of me! Shirley Julin
I have not reviewed any of the dr. services or even restaurants in my life, but I simply can not let anyone not be warned about this place. If i can give them 0 stars i would. Terribly rude staff! Doctor will not even see you - the PA will instead, and they wont even disclose that information up front. Lack of professionalism and communication skills was quite shocking to me. Avoid this place - u will thank me later
I don't really give 5 stars. Dr. Pappas is great. He has really helped my back pain. The staff is friendly and efficient. I can always get an appointment.
If you need a cortisone injection this is the place. Otherwise it's a pure clinic. No real relationships with doctors. Just arrogant PA's. Shuffling around the goalposts. A perfect example of the state of health care in America. Sad and pathetic. Good luck getting an awnser when you call. After they rope ya in. And give you something you didn't want or need. Avoid if you can
I have been a patient here for a long time . I don’t want to be here , but my accident years back has lead me down the pain management road unfortunately. I am very happy with the PA I see here Ben Heath . He is knowledgeable, friendly and very nice to talk to if I have concerns . The office staff has been very kind to me as well, I have had run ins with some staff over the years - but it seems as those people are no longer there , so .. maybe I wasn’t the only one . It is very hard to find someone with compassion for Chronic pain patients, I get it . The bad drug seeking patients have made it difficult for us patients that just want to have a quality to our lives if anything. I will always live with my painful injuries , but it is nice going to a place that has your best interest in mind. Thanks to all the staff at beaumont pain management- you have help try to make my life as close to normal as it can be . Thx to Dr. Jaffer , Ben Heath , Julio and the Med assistants and office staff who genuinely care . You are appreciated.
Dr papas Is a very patient friendly Dr, he is very professional and caring. I would recommend him to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
