List of Brian D. Seifman's Reviews
Had my right kidney removed because of cancer. About a week after surgery I received a call from the Dr. to see how I was feeling and if there were any issues concerning me. The follow up visit, he examined me, put my mind at ease about things that I was worried about and told me about follow up tests he wanted me to have 6 mos. down the road. The staff at his office on South Blvd. were all friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Seifman.
PLEASE GET A SECOND OPINION!!! My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer and Dr. Seifman immediately offered up the option of surgically removing his prostate. A family friend recommended that we get a second opinion from a Black doctor, so we did. We discovered that he did not have to have surgery or radiation at this time. He is in a "watch and wait" phase and he may never have to have surgery because there are so many other methods used to treat prostate cancer before you result to surgery. Not only did we get a second opinion, we got a third opinion and the Karmanos doctor agreed with the 2nd doctor. If you know anyone diagnosed with prostate cancer, please implore them to get a second opinion from a specialist before getting the surgery.
Is there a way to give multiple negative stars? My son had surgery performed by Dr. Seifman. Other than a conversation he had with my wife immediately after surgery, Dr. Seifman never contacted my son to inquire about his recovery - NEVER. Instead, his office called him at 7am the morning after the surgery (while he was still in the hospital and on pain meds) to tell him that it was his responsibility to schedule the necessary follow-up test in order to remove his catheter, of course, all reasonably available times were not open since Dr. Seifman's office had not taken the very simple step of scheduling the post-op test at the time they scheduled the surgery. I saw my son spend 2 days after surgery in frustration and confusion as he tried to deal with Dr. Seifman's incredibly unhelpful office staff and Beaumont Hospital - who couldn't understand why the Dr.'s office was not more involved. No one should have to go through that after surgery - avoid this Dr and his practice.
Outstanding physician. Listens to your concerns, provides clear answers to questions, and proposes multiple treatment options. Have been working with him on my issue for over 6 months; the conservative approach to treatment is working. Appreciate very much his calm and caring manner.
Dr. Seifman is an excellent doctor!
Consistently interested in my well being. Always pleasant and informative and listens to my questions, always responding with kindness and thoughtfulness.
The Dr. was very courteous and took the time to answer all my questions, including some that did not relate to the condition for which I was visiting. He is friendly and knowledgeable.
Dr. Seifman is professional and thorough. He takes the time to address my concerns and provide solutions. If it doesn't work, we try something else.
Office and support staff at West Bloomfield and Troy efficient and courteous. Dr. Seifman was thorough and professional in addressing my issues. Look forward to continuing with him.
I first started seeing Dr Seifman in 2005, had a cancerous tumor on my kidney, the first Doctor I went to wanted to remove the kidney I went to Dr Seifman as a second opinion and he saved half the kidney. Have been seeing him ever since. Very caring Dr. would highly recommend him

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
