Over prescribes medication to my elderly mother. I wish she would just discharge her so we can find a full time doctor that would prescribe meds responsibly. Seems like another recent review is dealing with the same issue about treating symptoms and not working on the cause.

My doctor of 15 yrs plus dropped me because I asked a question about treating the cause and not treating the symptoms and I never see her anyways she’s far too busy for long time patients it’s all about the money not health of patients. Will have a new doc soon thanks Mara

Dr. Mara Geiger continues to prescribe my elderly mother (habit forming)medications that other Beaumont doctors that I spoke with said she shouldn't be on (long term) at her age. I am hoping we can get her discharged from her care and change to a doctor that will work on the causes rather than just overprescribing her medicine that is affecting her cognition.

My parents became new patience of Dr. Geiger today. They moved to MI from out of state and into a retirement home. Dr. Geiger and her staff spent so much time getting to know them, learning about their history, and welcomed them sincerely. Very much agree with her lack of important knowledge. She is the type of doctor that doesn't REALLY listen, but instead just prescribes a medication and doesn't have an alternate solution when you're not getting the desired result or an adverse result. Very limited knowledge and problem solving skills.

I have been seeing Dr Geiger for at least 10 years and am very happy with her.

Dr. Geiger was very unprofessional to my husband and his elderly mother. It was his mother's annual physical and she advised us to locate another doctor because we must not be bringing our elderly mother in enough to pad the Medicare pockets of this doctor. My mother has been healthy and not having many issues to quantify additional visits besides annual physicals. In final, we will be locating a new doctor, one who is more thorough, and not just a typical pill dispenser.
