Dr. Culver was my doctor for several months. My first visit with him I told him about pain I had in my lower back that went down my leg, he immediately says to me I'm not prescribing you narcotics. I said ok I'm not there for that, I want to figure out what's causing it and fix it. I continued to see him for several months thinking he would realize I'm not there for prescriptions but nothing ever changed. He never one time tried to figure out what was wrong, just saying things like there's nothing wrong with you. And when I would go there I would only have a few minutes with him even in the room. So the last time I went I asked him why he never spends more than a few minutes talking to me and never trying to help the problem I was having and this guy says to me I have patients whose insurance pays 4 times what your Medicaid pays so why should I spend as much time with you as I do with them. Nobody made this guy take Medicaid. So he purposely chose to take on Medicaid patients and give them less care. Great guy. Skip forward to now and I have a REAL doctor who found the problem, and is taking care of it. An actual health problem that Culver never one time tried to figure out. It's really sad that doctors like him even exist. Do yourself a big favor and not choose this guy as your doctor.

So my insurance automatically connects me with this Doctor. Days previous i give myself some time and go online to schedule an appointment, I pick a time and date and fill in a small survey about my medical history. Which is very innocuous and standard. I then get a phone call from some lady at Dr Culver's office who informs me that they will not be taking me as a new patient as 'I have a history of back pain'. Theres no unfortunately, or I'm sorry, its just said real matter of fact and goodbye. So be aware, Dr Culver MD doesn't want patients who are in pain, Which is very strange considering you'd expect the vast majority of patients attending Doctors offices to be in some form of pain to begin with. Given the short notice, I now have to set up a new appointment in a hurry. Ridiculous

Dr. Culver has been my sons doctor since they were born. We have moved 25 miles away and we still go to see him. He is caring and professional thorough and kind. Jennifer at the front desk is incredibly helpful, professional and just a wonderful asset to the practice.

total rip off and scam artists. Billed me 9 months later $554 for "lab work" thru st. joes hospital after i came in for my wellness visit that was supposed to be completely covered my insurance. After calling my insurance they said they couldnt do anything about it because this scammer billed it as 2 separate visits. After spending countless hours calling this office,hospital,insurance,then collection agency i finally gave in and paid the bill so i wouldnt jeopardize my credit score. My whole family comes here, as well as a few of my neighbors. I am on a fixed income, and this bill put a big dent in my budget. I will make sure i make it known in every way possible the money they robbed me of.

I have been with Dr Culver for years. Very professional and listens to concerns. Refers to specialist when needed. Also if you are not satisfied with referral has no problem giving you other Dr's. I only wished he worked out of a different hospital other then St. Joseph Oakland. Do not like that hospital at all.

Fantastic staff for a miraculous doc! He is empathetic, honest & a very talented professional! Never felt better!

Dr. Culver is a caring and kind doctor. He is experienced and very helpful whenever I am there. He is a common sense doctor with a compassionate attitude.
