Beaumont Children's Hospital's Online Review Report Card

apathetic care providers not paying attention to multiple requests by old lady asking for help.  DIVISIVE Fox blaring in waiting room.  I'll never visit this "hospital" again.

This is a billing comment. I had a procedure performed in my doctor's office. No mention was made before, the day of, or after my procedure....until later. I was charged over $8700 by Beaumont for the room. My insurance paid a portion and I disputed the remaining charge. My insurance said I had to pay. Every time I was sent a bill, I made a payment. Apparently, I was not paying as much per month as they expected so they sent my account to collections.If at all possible, I will never deal with a Beaumont doctor if their office is considered an outpatient facility. Always ask or you will be overcharged too.

If I could give a negative star, I would. I realize things are hectic and staff is overworked and tired; not a good enough excuse in my case.   I went to ER on Dec 28 for the 2nd time after being diagnosed with a key stone on Dec 22. I spent 12 ( TWELVE) hrs waiting to be seen in excruciating pain. They took an xray and did blood work, then sent me back to wait 1/2 DAY! I quietly sobbed on and off and re-checked 5 times to inform nurse I was losing control over the unbelievable pain. I watched people come in after me, receive treatment and leave. I was finally seen, admitted and ended up having surgery. A nightmare I care to never relive. Twelve hours is a ridiculous amount of time to receive some sort of attention. ( added bonus: I asked surgeon to text loved one with status update after surgery. It wasn't done and I had to read "My Chart" to learn that I had 2 stones, laser and removal). Never spoke to surgeon or resident about what transpired in OR). Won't be returning to Royal Oak Beaumont EVER!

It was a momentous occasion for which I was at the hospital. My younger brother's daughter was born. I was very pleased with the safety protocol in place to enter the hospital. I had difficulty once inside with locating the room and had to call mom to navigate me to the room. It was a beautiful experience to hold my niece and the staff there took great care of mom who had experienced an intense labor.

Terribly rude service. If you are coming in with pre existing conditions and have talked to another doctor they won't want to help you. I've gone here my entire life but this was the final straw. Never have I experienced such poor service from nurses and physicians assistants in the Beaumont urgent care in Troy. I will never be coming back to seek emergency help.

My daughter had a surgery there last week. The anthesologist was dr Matthew McManus. He asked her if she had a covid shot then proceeded to lecture us on how she should get one. (Our whole family has had covid) he said the covid ward was full of unvaccinated people. Well that was a LIE. I went and checked and 4 out of 5 people in the covid ward have been vaccinated. I think he has NO business advising us of doing that without checking his facts first

It only takes one bad experience to get "white coat syndrome" (a fear of doctors and hospitals). For me this experience was at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. I went to the ER with the vague diagnosis of "confusion". To be fair, I was acting very strangely due to lack of sleep and extreme stress. I do not blame the concern that led to the 911 call.However, I do not forgive being put in 8 point restraints and left to rot because "I kicked out". I simply did not consent to a catheter and I said no and resisted. Rather than waiting or giving me medication to calm down, they restrained me like a wild animal, sedated me, and put the catheter inside of me while I was unconscious. It must have been rough, as I am still sore.I woke up still in restraints, struggling and screaming at the top of my lungs. I felt scared. I felt raped. They wouldn't let me out in case I "harmed someone.". It sounds reasonable enough, but in this scenario it was like a mouse harming a lion. They had all the power. When the doctor and psychiatrist finally arrived the next day, they immediately had the restraints released and condemned how harshly I was treated.My PTSD is out of control. I wake up crying. I have panic attacks at the memory. I live I'm constant fear of being restrained. While I was bound I cried out "I hate you".they condescending said that wasn't helping my case. But I di hate them. I hate them so much. I hate them like any victim of a crime hates their oppressor, and I hope to God no one else experiences what I did. I will never go to Beaumont again. I will make the effort to go to U of M or St. Joseph Mercy.

Worst Hospital..Sitting in the lobby for 9 hours with chest pain. I sat in that lobby with Covid 19 related viral pneumoni feeling as if I was going to suffocate hour after long dreaded hour. I went to the front desk several times to voice my concerns which went on deaf ears. Everyone just looked at me like I shouldn't be complaining. The registration lady had the nerve to tap the nurse to her right with her fat leg. Like I couldn't see what was going on.  I felt belittled and totally disregarded. Im sure someone has lost their life sitting in that lobby.

I’m my 24 years of living I have NEVER wrote a Google review. But after my experience with Beaumont I couldn’t help it. My 2 year old son was soooo sick. To the point I took him to emergency 3 days in a row. None of the hospitals did anything for him besides give Tylenol and send us on our way. When I got to Beaumont day four I was in TEARS pleading for my son to get the help he needed. This night I felt like I was finally heard. They gave him an IV did blood work and gave him zofran , got his fever to leave permanently and the stay there was the shortest of the 4 days. I felt like I was finally listened to. My baby started eating and sleeping again peacefully after our stay at Beaumont. Amazing staff! If I could give each and every one of the staff a hug and personal thank you I WOULD ❤️
