I had a 2 month wait to see the Dr.,had 3 hr. ride one way.Waited 3 hrs in the waiting room, had to fill out sex questions that didn't pertain to me & was told no other options in order to continue I had to lie,all will he in medical records. Exam room was tiny & in came the Dr. with 3 students following him without consulting me,nor introducing himself or others.Brought all nessiasary medical test as instructed & were not reviewed.Dr. did not want to listen to me or address my on going severe cervical spinal column damage with horrible 24/7 unemagenable symptoms that are getting worse.Offered no help or researching condition of don't understand or have any experience or knowledge. How do Dr.'s learn other than reading; by listening to the patient. I highly recommend all patients to obtain there medical records, you might be shocked on any or all information written about you. I have experienced Michigan health care to be treating patients like a number on a assembly line with a quick office copay. If a Dr. were to take the time to research your condition, it would take time & time is $$ to loose on many apt.'s. I feel like I am being treated like dirt swept under a rug.( MHSI) says they work as a team to help patients. Not true from my experience! All the setting I had to do all day causing my symptoms to greatly worsen was all for nothing. At what value does a Dr. put on a human life, why would one go to school to become a Dr..Many Dr.'s could learn from my injuries and symptoms, but I guess the dollar bill in the pocket is more of a concern.
I waited almost 3 hours in the waiting room of this place before I finally gave in and left. I get that doctor Gilmer is supposed to be one of the best doctors in Michigan but to make someone have to wait 3 hours after their appointment to be seen is completely disrespectful. I also had make sure that the appointment was paid for myself because the lady at the front desk didn't know how to get ahold of my specific provider. Not a great experience very very sad that it turned out this way because I was really looking forward to being treated by doctor Gilmer. Sometimes you really just have to stand up for what you believe in and not have to deal with this shity healthcare system that we live in.
After being spoken to in such a disgustingly rude, unprofessional, and really the most appropriate word to explain the situation is "ghetto" way by the representative on the phone TWICE (separate phone calls), it took about a few weeks for me to realize that in NO way shape or form am I going to be disrespected in such an extreme manner and give this place my money.I made the decision to stop seeing my ongoing doctor for the relentless, debilitating, depressing and life altering pain I have from chronic illness, all because of GEORGIA, the woman on the phone who answered my call. I make it a standard point of every call I make and every encountered to be overly nice to people - WHY? Because (1) I've worked in many customer service focused jobs and (2) I have been through numerous traumatic events in my life, to the point where many people would have chosen to take their own lives due to it. I haven't and I have become very empathetic because of this. I DO NOT put up with HIGH amounts of sick, disgusting rudeness when I am being perfectly kind and nice. GEORGIA interrupted me FOUR times within the 1st 30 seconds of the phone call. I told her I needed her to stop interrupted me so I could simply explain why I was calling the office - she did NOT like this and became MUCH more aggressive and unruly.I asked GEORGIA again and again to confirm her name on the phone (although I already had it, but I'm a professional and confirm everything). She refused over 5 times and refused again and again and again to give me her Supervisors name/email/phone number.I called again, guess who answered the call. Georgia. You would think she would have been nicer after her blatantly rude call, NO, she chose to act like an animal. This woman had no provocation to act like she did. How does MHSI even HIRE someone like her??? I have worked in auditing & management for a pharma service company, I've managed people like her on a team of hundreds. People like her DONT GET HIRED. What type of a manager chose to hire someone like this who you can plainly tell by the way she speaks isn't cut for the job.I tried to contact the manager. She BARELY tried to get back with me. When I worked for one of the largest Pharma companies in the world. ANYTIME a customer wanted to speak to management. They got someone. They were able to speak and their complaint was dealt with and documented.MHSI and management clearly doesn't operate to normal industry standards. It makes me wonder how they manage their doctors. Scary thought if they aren't capable of managing call reps correctly.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
