The staff are very friendly and I'm sure the surgeon is very talented, but he wasn't willing to discuss any other options besides surgery. Seeing a doctor means (at least to me) getting to know about all of my available options in order to make in informed decision. He only had one option and that was surgery. When I mentioned that I'd like to give the non-surgical option a try, he got annoyed and said "if you're here for a referral to physical therapy, well I can get you one". No! That's not what I was there for. I could get that from my PCP and didn't have to see a specialist (and pay a specialist's copay) for a referral. I'm going for a second opinion and if surgery is the only option, I might have the other surgeon perform it.

Dr. Dutcheshen's staff was helpful, courteous and efficient. No long waits. Definitely worth driving an hour to see him!
