Dr Cascio and the entire staff at GI Medicine are always professional and compassionate.
Thank you DR. CASCIO for taking good care of me. You are very much appreciated. Thank you.
I been with Dr. Cascio for over 10 or more years. Great doctor really took good care of me. He's concern when I not feeling my best which shows he's compassionate and check up on me.A doctor with a caring heart is hard to find. The staff don't want to leave them out are kind, professional and get the job done. You guys are the best.
Best visit doctor is helping Me first time I feel like he cares ty
I was recommended by a family member. The staff gives the wrong financial information resulting in additional fees. They forgot to tell Pathology that I had insurance which I found out is pretty common I was a nervous wreck and instead of giving me a sedative before the procedure like 99.9% of clinics, they gave me nothing but saline. I met the doctor literally 3 seconds before being sedated!! My colonoscopy and endoscopy was WORSE than given birth to a 9 pound child with no epidural and Pitocin!!! I woke up during the procedures (which they denied) During recovery, I woke up with chest pain that felt like pneumonia and was coughing with such force that I urinated in my underwear!!! I was doubled over in pain and was crying in pain and shaking like I was hypothermic and no pain medicine was administered! No one called to check until 3 days later and honestly didn't give care how much pain I was in. I looked so bad that my spouse thought I was sepsis and dying!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
Made appointment with Dr cascio, arrived at appointment was told that I would NOT be seeing this doctor. The receptionist was very rude and said I would be seeing the nurse practitioner Kianna Lyons, tried asking why I wasn't seeing the doctor, was not given an answer. Waited for more than 45 minutes. The medical assistant that took me back to the room was very rude, condescending, and disrespectful. I then waited another 30 minutes for the nurse practitioner Kianna Lyons, she was very rude, C
I then waited another 30 minutes for the nurse practitioner Kianna Lyons, she was very rude, Condescending and disrespectful, she made me feel very discriminated against. I Have elevated liver enzymes, and the first thing she said was, we need to do a liver biopsy. The NP proceeded to treat me like an idiot. She didn't want to hear any of the other conditions i have or any other symptoms that i have. I refused the liver biopsy, she kept pressuring me about having the liver biopsy done. I kept refusing. I kept asking if there were any other non-invasive testing was available. Finally she said we could do some lab tests, really how hard is it to get non-invasive tests done first? I took lab request to get blood work, went to Quest Diagnostics, found out the NP didn't put the diagnosis codes on for tests. The technician called the office on speaker phone, on my request so I could hear the call, to get diagnosis codes and the office told her there were no other diagnosis codes. Really! Refused to give the diagnosis codes, without the diagnosis codes, insurance will Not pay. So I didn't get the blood tests done. Felt discriminated against and very disrespected. I proceeded to call and cancel upcoming appointment. Will never return to this practice. Would never recommend this practice to anyone.
Had to interrupt to ask question. Did not make eye contact when talking and appeared not especially interested. Seemed tired because late aft. appt. gotten after previous cancellation
I was told I had to pay my total bill before they would do my procedure bc it was less than my deductible, so I paid it. Now I rec'd another bill for almost the same amount, and it shows no record of the $500 I already paid. I keep trying to call billing during their stated business hrs & I keep getting a msg saying they're closed & not receiving any voicemails. I can't even get through to someone to find out what the heck this $400 bill is for!!! Will never go back. Too bad bc Dr was great.
After waiting on hold for 12 minutes and giving up, I called back later thinking I might get to schedule an appointment. At this point I am on hold 15 minutes and counting as I write this. I think this shows a disrespect for patients and a disregard for their time. I will hang up and try to find a doctor who has a little respect for his patients. 18 minutes now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
