Kim Mccullough's Online Review Report Card

Had him remove my gallbladder years ago, after seeing another local surgeon that was supposed to do obese surgeries. Which told me I had to lose 100 lbs. In 3 weeks, and would have open surgery. A friend referred me to McCullough, he answered questions I didn't even know I had, told me everything to expect, what possibly could go wrong and why, and all the stuff. He didn't make me go on a quick weight loss and did it laparoscopically. I was pleased with the care and time he took to make sure I was comfortable with the procedure. The nurse even gave me my gallstones to keep at the followup appointment!

I was referred to McCullough by my primary physician to get concerning imaging looked at, upon arriving I waited in a room by myself for 45 minutes which I wasn’t upset about at this point. Finally, Dr. MCCullough and his med assistant (Sarah) entered the room, upon entering I realized the assistant and I knew each other which made me uncomfortable. Now, Hippa states that patients are to be asked before anyone else enters the room outside of the doctor or a nurse. Now a medical assistant is not included In either of those categories. I was not asked permission before entering, during the appointment MCCullough continued to ask me why I was there and that what I was saying didn’t make any sense. I was contradicted and once I started to become visibly upset and express that I had a panic disorder which caused me to get worked up easily the medical assistant Sarah began to enter the conversation telling me “Dr. MCCullough is a god send and is trying to help you.” I expressed to her that I understood that but frankly it was none of her concern and her comment was completely inappropriate and unprofessional as I was already in tears, shaking, and trying to catch my breath. At this time I told both of them I was unsatisfied with the visit and would not be returning. I left the office that day in a full panic attack, so bad I had to go see my primary doctor that day to prescribe me new medication for my anxiety and just so that I could have someone to talk to. I called and made two different complaints regarding Hippa violations. 110% do not recommend, I will never return. The only good thing about the office were the nurses that checked me in.

Dr. McCullough is very personable and cares about making sure you get exactly the treatment you need. He is also a great surgeon.

I recently had my left leg amputated this month and Dr. McCullough was the doctor/surgeon in charge of my surgery and aftercare while in the hospital. From my experience (consultation, surgery and aftercare) with Dr. McCullough I can honestly say that it was my pleasure to get to know him under these circumstances; he offered me an extreme sense of comfort in knowing that he was doing my surgery as well as being involved in my aftercare. Dr. McCullough from a professional and personal point of view is very passionate in what he does and goes above and beyond for his patients even with his scheduling being so full. He does not mix words and tells you how it is and not what you want to hear. Dr. McCullough is a doctor that I would highly recommend for anyone in need of a "HIGH QUALITY SURGEON" - especially for any form of amputation. Very satisfied patient, David Kana Kapahua II

I have had 2 lumpectomies and 1 hernia repair from Dr. Mccullough. He was fantastic! He was reassuring, confident, skilled, and made sure I received the best advice and care possible. I would recommend him to anyone needing general surgery.

Fantastic Surgeon. Performed a HEMICOLECTOMY (LOOK IT UP) and I'm now re-cooping at home. The Surgical staff, and nurses at War Memorial Hospital were great!!!!

My father had an appointment to see doctor McCullough on June 20th , the power in the building went out for about 15 minutes. Dr McCullough left the building leaving us sitting with my dad . The doctor did not return, leaving us to rescheduling. Very inconsiderate! My dad was transported from the nursing home. If your suppose to be at work for 8 hours and the power goes off you should stay until the end of your scheduled day. Very unprofessional !

I waited for two weeks to see this doctor for my 2 year old toddler with an urgent surgery. This appointment was only to take about 5 minutes to assess what needed to be done. One hour before the appointment day and time, I'm one hour into the journey to see him (it takes two hours), they call me on my cell phone to cancel, saying the Dr. is in surgery at ER all day. I say I'm coming up anyway and when I finally arrive, the receptionist says the Dr. was in earlier but you didn't show up on time so now he's out of town for the rest of the day. My whole day wasted, lost a day of work and they acted like I was at fault. They showed no concern for my child's welfare or my time and expenses.
