If you find yourself in the unfortunate predicament of needing anyone to get anywhere near your spinal cord, Dr. Michaels is the only NEUROsurgeon I trust. I have had two unsuccessful spine surgeries on my lower spine by an orthopedic surgeon. All due respect, they aren't trained as neurosurgeons are. I have an enormous respect for Dr. Michaels and would highly recommend him.

The doctor was amazing! (Gilmer) However, the billing department is incompetent. Working insurance for years, I knew that they billed improperly. I was sued for over 5k while fighting for my life. All the while both insurance companies instructed the office to rebill and the issue would be resolved, they refuse. Now I owe over 5k because they refuse to bill properly and I am now to pay for their mistakes while undergoing life threatening major surgeries and lengthy recovery. They do not care for their patients or the severity. Ive never expierienced less effort put into any correction when the mistake was there’s and could have been resolved WITHOUT me. All the information was and is completely accessible by them. But they make their own rules that in return rob the patients blind. And they simply do not care.

It has been one year from my surgery and I my life has completely changed. Dr Michael performed a discetomy on a disc that I had previously undergone surgery. Dr Michael ended up spending an extra hour and a half beyond the expected time frame of the surgery because there was more scar tissue then the CT scan showed. That is a dedicated surgeon who cares about their patients and wants to get the best results. Before the surgery I was bedridden and in constant pain. A year later pain free!!

It has been exactly one year, since my surgery with Dr Michael. This was my second back surgery and my second time receiving a discetomy on the same disc that broke. Dr Michael did not perform the first surgery, but fixed a previous unsuccessful surgery in the same area. I cannot express enough my gratitude for Dr Michael and his talent as a surgeon. My surgery actually went over an hour and a half beyond the expected time because of all the scar tissue not visible on the CT scan. When Dr Michael came to report the success of my surgery he was exhausted and had turned pale from the intensity and difficulty involved. That is a dedication doctor who cares about their patient! Before the surgery I was bedridden in constant pain. I could not sit, walk, run or lift anything. After the surgery I have no pain! I go swimming, walk,run, take out the garage, sit for hours! I am completely restored. Dr Michael is not just a gifted surgeon, but a gift from God to bring healing. He is truly world class talent! I highly recommend anyone looking for a surgeon to choose Dr. Michael. Thank you Dr Michael- Sincerely David

Dr. Michael is amazing!! I’m 10 days post op from him removing a large meningioma tumor from my brain. 100% pain free and off all medications.

Dr. Michael is an outstanding Doctor who cares about his patients. I see him now on a yearly basis for several problems with my brain, and have had him as my Doctor for almost 10 years. He always listens and does not miss anything on the physical exam. I have recommended him to several friends and family members, and they to are very happy with him and the care they received. If you want a Dr who cares,who gets you an appt in a timely manner ( less than 6 months), who calls back with your concerns within a week, then this doctor is NOT for you. Gross negligence for existing patients including apathy after a surgery are just a few things encountered. I would rate him and his office a zero . Office visits appear to be a way to gain money and office copays while continuing to practice neglect and incompetence. Therefore I will not be back.

Despite having a documented herniated disc And being an established pt with a prior surgery ,this doctor and office neglected to call back for weeks / months at a time . Furthermore after being instructed to go to ER by the office he Continued to be impossible to get a hold of. If you want to be grossly neglected choose this doctor .

Dr. Michael performed my lower back surgery for spinal stenosis late 2016. The results was total success and I recovered much quicker than I expected. After years of limited mobility and back problems, I'm totally without back and muscle pain. I've regained my posture and active lifestyle. I credit this entirely to the knowledge and skill of Dr. Michael. During the whole process he offered accurate assessments on the surgery results . For backs, there is no better doctor!

Dr. Michaels' is the best Neurosurgeon! He removed a meningioma from my left frontal lobe on Valentine's Day in 2015. Through the grace of God, he was able to remove my tumor by entering my left eyebrow & reconstruct my eyebrow to match my right brow leaving very little scarring. Today I am still recovering & feeling thankful that I am blessed to be here to recover. Thank you God for blessing Dr. Micheals' and all of the healthcare professionals that provide my medical care.
