Lack of help with patients

My aunt is there and hopefully by the end of August, she will be outta there. Most of the staff are pleasant, however, the level of care is atrocious. I have witness more staff in a huddle or curled up in a corner talking, texting or playing games on their cell phones than I have actually put in the work. The residents are being neglected and abused, I’ve witness that myself. My aunt wants to leave for she’s not being properly cared for. I’m pulling her out because my aunt is a private pay resident receiving 1st class sh*tty in the State assistance unit. Once she is settled elsewhere, I will be filing a complaint with the notation “drop in unexpectedly, do not make an appointment, do not call ahead, just a walk-in surprise inspection and be prepared to issue “violations”. I grade this facility -F for failure. The State should be sued for allowing them to continue to run that facility of failure by reissuing them their licenses. By the grace and mercy given by TMH, my aunt is outta there.

Worse place ever! They tried to keep my grandmother against her will but because I had Power of Attorney papers they had no choice but to release her! They even threatened to call the police and report it as kidnapping! This place was referred by her doctor who said he put his mother in-law here. I guess he did not like her at all! There was several patients in the hallway wanting to go back in room and staffed ignored them! Do not send your loved ones here!!!!!

This place is awful. Don't go there. They don't know what they're doing in the front office . THEY HAVE MY MOM KIDNAPPED AND WON'T LET HER OUT

I stayed in this facility for two weeks and had an excellent experience. I recommend this facility to anyone and the staff is very professional and kind. Thank you Lahser Hills.

This place is awful. Do not send your loved ones here. Most of the staff is incompetent and the administrators don't care how much you can complain. All they do is make excuses. State of MI please shut this place down. I really wanted to give zero stars but google won't let you post unless you pick at least one star. I repeat do not send your people here.

It is so sad to see your love one go into a nursing facility. What hurts the most is when they are being miss treated by the staff. My father was in their for 2 weeks. They put him on the lock down unit and did not let the family know that they move him to a security unit. while he was in the security unit the staff did not want to take the time to show my dad where the rest room are so they put on a diaper which they call a PULL UP. I would suggest not to put your family member in this facility. The State needs to look into this place because they need to do a 360 to turn the place around. It also smell....

This was not a great place for staff or residents. Even if you expressed concerns with the care of residents and staffing issues, management would only find a reason NOT to address the issues. The administrator was completely aloof and detached from the facility the he is held responsible for. He hires his friends and acquaintances who aren’t functioning at a high level in their positions. He makes up for this by using other employees to compensate for what is lacking. None of the issues in any of these Google reviews are new...they are a continuation of what has always been and what will always be. I would not recommend anyone putting their family at Lahser Hills and I would not recommend anyone putting their medical professional license on the line by working at Lahser Hills. What you give to them is far less than what they do for you.

I would like to Thank Nurses Vivan, Dolores and purse around the hips Nurse for taking care of me. My Cousin Cookie Adams for all the outstanding activities the Residents get to do. Hakim who took excellent care of my wounds. The Cooks and the PCT staff. Ms. Lindsey, the Physical Therapy Staff and all the others Staff who was nice to me during my stay there.

My Dad was here for a short time in January 2020 after a stay at Beaumont hospital in Royal Oak. The staff was as late taking him to and bringing him back from his dialysis appointments just a few blocks north of the facility. His cell phone was stolen while there, possibly by another resjdent of the facility. Every employee looked busy while there, nobody hanging around the nurses station while I was there.
