List of The Great Expressions Dental Centers's Reviews
Dr. Reid is an amazing dentist who provides friendly, personal, professional care. I've been going to Dr. Reid for over 4 years. When she moved her office from Allen Park to Southfield I just had to continue going to her, despite the longer drive. She's that good!
Both my mother and myself had the same experience when getting a filling and it was terrible. The hygienist incorrectly shot the novocaine into a nerve. I had pain shooting up my face and into my right eye. When the hygienist came back into check on me I mentioned what was going on and she told me I was "just being dramatic." They then sent me home after and I had to close my right eye to drive properly. This was in 2013 and it made me not visit a dentist for 4 years. My mother had the SAME experience two years later and they called her later to make sure she came home and told her to visit the hospital if the symptoms continued. They should be shut down. This is a horrible place. Do not go here.

There is no rating this provider. My only hope is they are put out of business. First of all they don't even contact your insurance company. They immediately determine what they think you need done and give you a print out of how much it will cost you and then try to set you up on a payment plan. Don't take their diagnosis serious. Both my husband and myself were told we had bad gums. I have never had a problem with mine and still don't. I had two second opinions and my husband went back to his dentist also. Neither of us have any problems. I see where they get their name, its the look on your face when they exam you. They determined my husband had bad gums without even looking in his mouth. Then they billed him for a new patient exam. We both have filed complaints with our insurance carrier. There are many more complaints out there. Look them up.
Called three working days ago and left a clear message and return phone number; however I was never given the satisfaction of a return phone call.
Very disappointed with the office staff... Very rude and condescending. The dental staff are appropriate, however I will not recommend this office nor will I initiate braces for my son at this office.
Very professional staff. They have a lot of options for payment including a great plan for the uninsured. The dentist is very experienced and friendly.
Nice to go to a dentist office that can explain my insurance to me. I have read my information package my employer and had no idea. The staff was wonderful they spent so much time with me I almost felt bad that I had other people had been waiting. If you ever had questions about anything this is the place for answers.
Awful service and terrible administrative staff. Puts profits before care. I was warned from many people, however my insurance has many of these centers -- I am changing my insuranceActually minus 5 stars

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
