Advantage Living Center Southgate's Online Review Report Card

The experience we had I wouldn't wish on anyone. My grandmother was in there and it was terrible. What made is worse is the social worker there. She is horrible. From the moment we met her we felt as if we were inconveniencing her. She spoke very condescending to us. She was shouting our family members personal information in the lobby for many people to hear. Right after that happened an employee walked by my mother and I and told us to ignore her because she is rude. That has to tell you something when staff members comment on her behavior. Spoke with the head nurse who mind you is the nicest woman I have ever met. The social worker proceeded to lie and tell the head nurse that we yelled at her which is untrue. Never once did we even raise our voice to her. She needs to be trained on how to speak with patients family members and maybe learn compassion.

I would give zero if I could! They killed me grandma! Abused her and neglected her, she died two weeks after she was admitted! She was afraid to tell they were hurting her bc rhey would hurt her worse! They even slammed her legs into the elevator to open the door back open. We had an appt to see her and they made us wait an hour and then would not let us up to her room... they knew we were coming she had to have been sitting in soiled bedding and clothes. She told us they stepped on her feet and squeezed her wrists and screamed at her to stand up. My gram had bad legs! Then when she passed nothing added up...looked like a cover up. I believe she passed in her sleep and they didn't notice till 10am after they gave her breakfast and let it sit there untouched. Her sugar was so low when we seen her she could barely speak. She drank a whole bottle of pop and came back too so quick. They told us there was no record of sugar issues...my gram had sugar my entire life. They killed her through abuse and neglect and tried to cover it up. DONT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE!!!!

Please don't let your loved one go here, this place needs to be closed down!! Unsanitary, food is absolutely horrific, they don't take care of patients, don't answer call buttons for patients for hours or not at all, leaves patients in urine & fecees for hours sometimes even overnight, don't answer the phone for family to check on thier loved ones, weeks before shower's are given, don't return calls, rude, lazy and ignorant to say the least, read through the reviews, nothing has improved if you love your family members don't even give this place even the benefit of the doubt!! You'll be sadly sorry, very incompetent filthy facility.. they have broken laundry facilities, no supplies for the patients, broken down furniture, 1970's tv. One per room, 2 people in rooms for 1 person capacity, filthy germy floor's, food is delivered ice cold to the patients, outdated hospital beds,.no decent amenities for the elders, Just a ran into the ground situation, don't return calls don't even know what's going on with the patients very incompetent &unorganized staff & administration!!! Get your loved ones out of this place immediately!! I wish I didn't even have to give the pathetic 1 star for this review. Shameful to do elderly like they do! Absolutely shameful!!! & Now I guess it's changing names or owners I heard but that can't change the fact's

Someone needs to call me back now. I have concerns and no one answers the phone. Extreme neglect toward patients. Please listen to the other reviews and do not send your loved ones here.

My husband was recently admitted here...I have called multiple times and nobody answered...I need a better phone number... based on all of these reviews, I want to make sure that he is being treated properly... oh and how are at supposed to make an appt to see our loved ones if nobody ever answers the phones?? Do we just show up?? Cuz that's what I'm going to do in order to check on my husband to make sure that he is being properly cared for...

This place need to be shut down they asap

Today I was scheduled for a reschedule interview I got there 10 mins early still had to wait ..it was 15 mins after 11 and then to come and find out that the position I applied for was filled it's was very unprofessional I would never apply with this company again

My mother wasn't changed for over 8 hours, as soon as you get upstairs all you smell is urine, they never wiped the urine off the bed. They left the call light on the wall, my mothers bed was raised all the way up and she is a fall risk. In the bathroom you can't reach the call light. It is very dirty.Don't let anyone go here, they don't take care of your loved ones. They won't let you in, but they put 3 to 5 people in a room, but tell me I can't come in because my mom never got a covid shot. There are no phones in the rooms and only one tv in the room with 3 to 5 people.

Justice for Salma Blair. Two police reports have been filed and she has been in the hospital 2 times in the last 30 days for physical assault and SA with hospital documentation to prove it caused by this facility
