Does not accept insurance and very rude

The receptionist both can be a bit rude. The Dr. Roome is great. Their billing process when having a primary and secondary insurance is the worst. I'm currently seeking a new pediatrician for my son due to the demeanor and feeling unwelcome by the receptionist. They are just as bad as some of those ladies at Intercare in BH.

Dr Roome is the kindest doctor! He is so good with my son and I am so pleased as we have had such a hard time finding a doctor. I highly reccommend this team!

Terribly long wait. I was waiting for the doctor in the room for 2 hours.

We LOVE all the Drs. here as well as the nurses and Pam at the front desk. It’s always a warm and loving welcome when we go or I call. They’re good about last minute appts and questions. I’ve never left wondering what is wrong or unsure of medical decisions we’ve made.

I have literally met Dr. Shah at 3 a.m. for my daughter whom is a severe asthmatic to receive breathing treatments. For the person above who said the receptionist is "rude" perhaps you should consider the high volume of work she must endure. Running an office is one thing. Running an office that takes patient care to another level is an entirely different amount of work for an Office Manager. I can't imagine the work load due to the amount of calls, insurance claims/questions, patients coming/going, and the behind the scenes work that keeps the entire ship sailing. I wouldn't be a peach every single day either. Don't forget she is a human being. I have never received anything but the utmost care and respect from every single staff member including the office staff. I don't expect to have someone to chit chat with, I expect them to help my sick children, which is exactly what they have always done. They are rock stars. Every single one of them.

Through two children over the past fifteen years, I have continually been impressed by the professionalism, knowledge, and kindness of the staff at St. Joseph Pediatrics. Both Doctor Shahs are phenomenal and all other physicians my boys have seen have been great as well. A+!

Not military friendly. The company refuses to accept your children if you have Tri-Care insurance. They will happily take your money (as a Spectrum Health member) while you are pregnant and during the birthing process but after that it's a find someone else. As my wife and I are both military service members and will always support military members it's very inconvenient and disheartening that they won't take us because we don't have "The right insurance". Hope this saves another soldier the same headache. We all want the best for our children but that only matters when they have the "Right Insurance". Not military friendly.
