Philip Nowicki Md's Online Review Report Card

My daughter was born with hip Dysplasia in 2016 and we met Dr. Nowicki when she was just a month old. He did surgery on her hips at 4 months old. Open reduction on one side... She's doing wonderful. He had great advice and was very informative. My best advice is ask a lot of questions and it's okay to ask the doctor to slow down so you can understand. And it's ok to get a second opinion. Research. I loved how he reminded me to let her be a kid .. don't hold her back because of her history of hip Dysplasia. Only giving one star because I can't give negative stars. My son had surgery with this "doctor" 3 years ago. He didn't know what he was doing.. My son has Charcot Marie Tooth Disease. He should have had a fusion surgery to stablize the foot & ankle. Instead, he did a soft tissue surgery. His foot started turning. I took him to Nowicki & told him that his foot was worse & turning. He shrugged it off & he had a guy shadowing him. He just said...his foot will never be perfect! It's been 3 yrs, 2 months since this surgery, my son was walking on the side of his foot at school & in so much pain. At home, he was crawling & in tears! Dr. Maskill in Coloma did surgery on him on June 20th. He had to do a triple fusion surgery. My son had 75 staples in his foot. Soft tissue surgery was never going to work for Charcot Marie Tooth. Nowicki should have done better research or told us that he didn't know what to do. I'm actually thinking of suing this doctor. He put my son through so much pain & at the check up appointments, he should have been able to see that his foot was turning side ways. We had to keep getting inserts & we still owe money to Mary Free Bed. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! I can't shout it loud enough. I need a refund & then some. This appointment was a waste of our time. We scheduled an appointment with Dr Nowicki to address pain in my back that had been going on for 5 years due to what we had been told was a pars defect. When we got there, he had me explain what had been going on which is what I began doing when he cut me off. Dr then told me that there wasn't much we could do about it. He didn't give us any solutions or temporary pain relief. He did not listen to me and seemed like he wanted me out of there as soon as possible. This appointment was a waste of our time. Broke my tibia and he stuck a big ole rod in my leg and fixed me and feeling great 2 days out of surgery!

Dr. Nowicki is outstanding! My daughter has seen him for the past 5 years for bi-lateral hip dysplasia and he has always taken the time to address all of our concerns. I love that he addresses the child in addition to the adults. It is very clear that he is knowledgeable and passionate! Dr. Nowicki has always clearly explained the plan along with the next steps to make sure we are comfortable moving forward.
