Sharon Deskins Md's Online Review Report Card

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Deskins for 8 years. We were informed we were being "dropped" with no notice and no reason given. When we tried to be reinstated, we were informed "the doctor is no longer taking new patients over the age of 40." Wow. Just wow.

Dr Deskins and her resident Dr. Joanna Mangio were both extremely thorough in trying to help me figure out my condition. Very kind and compassionate. Thank you!

Professional, kind and patient. She has been the greatest doctor.

I've been seeing her for nearly twenty years. She's always professional. She listens and advises. She never makes me feel like I am taking her time. I cannot say enough good things about her.

She is the best. I highly recommend her. She is compassionate and professional. But best of all she and her group have stood together and remained independent on their own and have not joined Lakeland Care. For this I applaud them. They can still practice how they feel is right not how some other entity tells them to practice. She is a keeper for sure.

Recommended a medication that ruined my life.

Great Doctor and office staff

Awful experience. She is callous and abrasive. She refused to refill a stabilizing medication that I have been taking, with no trouble, for years. I need this medication to treat a condition I've had since I was a teen. Every other GP I've ever had refilled it with no problem. Not her. She lets her personal opinions, biases, and religious ideas sway her clinical judgement. Beware.

Dr. Deskins listens to her patients and acts on their behalf. She does not waste her patients' time and is very direct. I was caught in a muddle of medication, not knowing why I was prescribed with some of them and getting sick from others. Dr. Deskins cleared out half of them, my lab results regularized, and I am free of side effects. She listened and focused on what was causing the problem. I am forever grateful to her and her staff.

I thought Dr. Deskins was okay until I really got sick. She looks at lab tests and if the lab says you test in the normal range then that's good enough for her. I made the mistake of asking her about a test result that by many standards was abnormally high and she snapped that my result was normal like it said on the lab report. I don't need a doctor who either can't or won't interpret a lab result. I can read the lab's interpretation myself. She was very insulting after I questioned the result. I have found a doctor who listens to me and is able to look at a lab test and interpret based on his experience and keep in mind what I have said about my symptoms. It took 4 years but I finally got the right diagnosis. No thanks to Deskins.
