List of Willis Gaffney Md's Reviews
Things weren't terrible there but I found great conflict with the flubotomist(sp) and the office staff seemed very overwhelmed most times. Although mostly pleasant there was an uncomfortable edge to the demeanor of the staff. My biggest issue with this office was when I transferred they held my medical records hostage of $37 I HAD NOT EVEN RECEIVED A BILL FOR YET! Then I found out the office didn't transfer all my blood work records or never recorded them at all. Which was a concern that was part of my leaving. My PA's Heather and Jennifer were nice but I felt they seemed under a radar. FYI.
I have seen Dr Gaffney for years. When no one else could figure it out not even specialist this man did. He didnt stop till he found out what was wrong. Also, my mother had no ins, no money, he saw her for free till he got her blood pressure down like 6 or 7 visits. I have seen a lot of different drs when I had to move away and Gaffneys office is by far the best.
I liked my last nurse practitioner, she was knowledgeable and competent and kind. She left to do better things. My new nurse practitioner is nice but close to completely incompetent, and I've even had to explain certain medical terms and things TO HER. The front office desk are always nice enough and can at least do their jobs. I don't recommend this place. Overall everyone is nice but too quick to give proper care and information to patients.
If I could give no stars, I would. My mother in law went to Dr Gaffney for severe pain in her head and neck, which was not normal for her. He gave her a shot and sent her home. The police pulled my mother in law over as she was weaving all over the road after she left the appt. My mother in law had had a stroke. She was in Sparrow Hospital for 3 weeks. Her doctors/specialists at Sparrow, plus home health nurse and social worker all stated that she should not drive as she could only partially see and had memory issues. My brother in law (who is an RN) took her to her follow up appt with Dr. Gaffney - told him about how my mother in law had memory issues, wasn't able to articulate very well what she needed/wanted, was very confused etc and that the specialists doesn't want her driving. Dr Gaffney looked at my mother in law and said "you can drive in town only and go back to your volunteer job". He is rude, incompetent, and shouldn't be practicing medicine.
My mother has a broken limb and this doctor's office REFUSED to help her and give her any pain medication, then told her to just walk on it immediately... After the hospital told her to stay off of it for a week. This place needs to be shut down. Then they lied to her about appointment times and availability. - FIND SOMEONE ELSE. And she says he's creepy too. So those reviews seem legitimate.
He is inappropriate with his comments to women.
He comes across as perverse in nature. Very inappropriate with patients.
Extremely rude, unprofessional, and condescending.
Able to get a appointment within 24 hours. if my child is sick they will see him the same day!!!
Dr. Gaffney listens to my concerns and always explains what ever the problem is. Even when I ask again, he is still patient with me and explains again. He always takes his time and never makes me feel he is rushed. I have nothing but good to say about Dr. Gaffney. Great doctor!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
