If I could give zero start I would have. Dr. Al-Shami is a horrible doctor. My mother was pushed out of the hospital by him once and almost twice. Because she wasn't cared for properly by him during the first hospital stay, she returned to Troy Beaumont with the same problem a week later. When he told me he was discharging her (again) w/out any explanation for the terrible pain near her kidneys, I asked why and suggested we try a few other things that F&F suggested (even her Primary Care Office suggested further testing) the man completely lost his cool on me. He screamed at me about how he knows more than me and that her issues are not reasons to be in a hospital. I finally asked for a change of care and we ended up finding out my mom has very concerning kidney disease and will likely need a biopsy. He ignored all the signs: high creatinine, poor C3/C4, high potassium, protein in urine. Had we not changed care who knows what would have happened??? More to say but too long :-(

Dr. Al-Shami has been my attending doctor at Beaumont Troy about 6 different times in the last couple of years. He always puts my health as a 1st priority. He is very thorough and checks in on you everyday. Great bedside manner. I totally trust him and know that I will get the best possible care with Dr. Al-Shami as my doctor.

I Took my 80 year old mother into the Northville Urgent care, Dr Al-Shami was very good with her, he explained everything to her. He took his time evaluating her, His assistant was very kind and patient with her. We will go back.

Terrible experience. Pushy and did not take patient needs over his book learnings. Lectured about his credentials and his risk more than talking about patient care. Cares more about himself than his patients.

Been going for past year to Dr. Al-Shami's clinic in Northville even though my co-pay is $10 higher due to being urgent care, because I like him so much. Take my daughter too when cant get in with pediatrician on weekends. I completely trust him. He really cares, is very kind and sweet, and is fast in a good way. Wish there were more doctors around like him!

I attended this Promp Urgent Care facility but there was not a licensed doctor when arrived then doctor was called and arrived later. Diagnosis still not sure and injection prescribed did not help. Still dealing with symptoms. Not worth to return to this facility.
