I had a lip injury and because Dr. Jill Wang consulted with Dr. Thompson they saved me from plastic surgery. Dr. Thompson assured me that he felt he could stitch my lip and plastic surgery would not be necessary. He was right on. My lip has healed and it is perfect. I am thankful and grateful!

I am grateful to Dr. Troy Thompson and the staff at the Southwestern Medical Clinic. They went above and beyond in their assistance, compassion and professionalism in helping my family as my aging father's health declined, with the transition processes and paperwork needed to provide my father with proper care as his needs changed. This includes thorough information regarding health issues and their potential and probable repercussions, access to home health services, power of attorney requirements, and with provision of required information as my father transitions from independent living to residency in a memory care facility.The receptionist in particular is exceptionally kind and compassionate and always thanked my father for his military service when we came to the clinic.

I had contact with Dr. Thompson when he saw my father who was struggling with aging issues. He was calm and caring with my father, reassuring to me. As i am now in need of a new provider, he is high on my list.

Just had my third experience in a row with staff being rude. Time to look for a new Dr. And office

He tries to be a psychiatrist but does not know what he is doing plus it's not his specialty. Also RNs and staff does not know what medications are or what diagnosis are. Staff including Dr Thompson will not be honest with patients. This former patient caught him being dishonest and he claims he's tried all the meds he's pushing. The entire office is understaffed as well as poor service provided. Very sad because Dr. Thompson use to be a good doctor!

For decades I battled Fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Sjogrens, RA and Chronic Fatigue, with no relief. I moved to St. Joseph in 2012. I sought a primary care giver and began seeing a wonderful NP in Dr. Thompson's practice. When I was experiencing a major, debilitating flare of all of the conditions I listed above, she referred me to Dr. Thompson. For the first time in my life I have a doctor who understands and is able to help me. I have since moved, and now drive 138 miles to see him.
