Maybe that’s his nature, but comes across as very uninterested in your concern and you’re just another “patient”. I don’t need a friend but certainly look for an “advisor” when I go to see a doctor. I was referred by my PCP (who embodies all the characteristics of a phy advisor BTW) and all my case notes were in the “system”. He did not even take the time to review my case and why I was there. After a couple tests, he was supposed to call me back and go over the test results, and that was about 6-8 weeks ago. Fortunately the results were in the system and my PCP reviewed them and no the results were fortunately favorable. I did tell my PCP that if I ever have to see an urologist again, to please not refer me to him. I’m sure Dr Kotha is bright and caring and all, was just not evident in my case. Update: to add the challenges, the office sent the wrong codes to the insurance and the insurance refuses to pay unless the office resubmits which has become a challenge…. Some offices just know how to make things worse I guess

Dr Kotha is an excellent doctor, he spends a lot of time explaining the options and shows real concern for his patients. His staff is very responsive to my phone calls. Highly recommend him

Was in the hospital in March with pain in my side which ended up to be my kidneys, don’t remember seeing him in person. But after I got a stent and in severe pain still in the hospital he was unfortunately the only Dr on call. Now it’s July I just had surgery Wednesday to remove part of my kidney and because it’s a holiday he’s again the dr on call. He is the absolute rudest Dr. I have ever talked to in my life. Talked to me like I’m stupid both times. I work for Beaumont and I would NEVER recommend this dr for anything. So so rude, unbelievable. I recommend Everybody record your conversations with him. I’m glad I did.

I would rather not give this guy even one star but the system forces you to. This man is horrible. Egotistical beyond belief. Could care less about your body. To busy thinking about his self. Confrontational right from the start. Not interested in listening at all. Positive he knows all the answers without even listening. Won't let you finish your sentences. Impossible to talk to.

So very disappointed in this day and age to have been treated and handled so poorly. Not only was he completely dismissive with my diagnosis, and visibly completely uninterested. Tried for two months to get results for cancer treatment. Never heard back from still.
