List of Laura E Howe Md's Reviews
I have recently went to bayside allergy in Traverse City to see Dr. Howe. My appointment with her was terrible. She profiled me and questioned whether I could afford a patch test. Upon my appointment I gave my insurance and they confirmed that it would be covered which is why I was under the impression that the patch test would be okay. I was scheduled a particular day that I waited weeks for in order to get a patch test and she tells me in our appointment, “we don’t do patch tests on this day, but I guess we can”. This upset me because I work very often and have a tough time making availability and in addition to waiting a month or so for this appointment. I was scheduled and was told that the day I came in I could have one done.. within the appointment Howe made several comments about things finance related that didn’t need to be said or addressed. Upon checking out I told the receptionist I will not be scheduling a patch test and will go elsewhere. I’m not sure if it was my younger age that made Dr. Howe profile me and think that I couldn’t afford it, but on her description for Bayside Allergy she’s described as someone who ‘is committed to professional and passionate care for patients of all ages’ yet I feel that once she stepped foot in the appointment room she did not treat me as an adult or a patient. I would not recommend Dr. Howe. I would not recommend Dr. Howe.

Huge fan of Dr. Laura. She always creates an atmosphere that makes it easy to open up and communicate, even the vulnerable stuff, and her advice has not only been helpful but also motivating. I have enjoyed my time in her treatment and have been able to see very marked personal progression. For anyone looking for a professional in this category this is an easy choice!
Excellent bedside manner and job of informing me of my progress. Any questions about recommended procedures, medications and studies were thoroughly explained. I enjoy and look forward to appointments. It's refreshing to have a provider actually patiently listens to symptoms/complaints, and then develops a plan of care that is easy to follow. During our interactions she has been very attentive and knowledgeable. I would recommend anybody who is having allergy issues to visit her.
I've since moved back east so I no longer see Dr. Nasatir. I made an appointment with her in advance, while still living in Sacramento. I had no idea where I'd be on that day; however, I figured I could make the appointment, regardless. Just so happens the appointment landed on the DAY I arrived in New Hampshire. I fucked up the time difference and missed the appointment and she is still sending me a bill for that. You'd think after almost 10 years of being her client, she'd have a brief moment of kindness and forgive this ONE time of missing a phone call...just based on the fact that I was on the road for 5 days with 2 large dogs, staying in random hotels along the way after the stressful 3 weeks of selling the house, buying a car the day before departure, and...well you get the idea. I'm actually quite saddened by this too...But, whatever. Life moves on. I'm still grateful to her for WAY more than I am angered by this surprising transgression in behavior. Just a bummer to end our time together this way. Sarah, however, still RULES!
I moved to Sac from SF and had to give up my ADHD and endogenous depression psychiatrist of twenty years. I was fortunate to find Dr. Nasatir by suggestion of my ins. co. With her, I have medication consul and prescribing and we zoom every six weeks. She is very dynamic and attends to my ADHD and depression which I've had for 50 years. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a psychiatrist to monitor and prescribe ADHD medications or anti-depressants.
This MD is very defensive. She reviews HERSELF 5 stars as a "verified patient" to defend her poor reviews on various websites. See images. These are aggressive, unsolicited "reviews" and/or responses. Quite a red flag. Trust me, you should go elsewhere.
Dr. Nasatir is the best-informed psychiatrist I've had in many, many years. She stays current with the literature, which I really appreciate, because that means we can fine-tune my meds as needed. With other docs, it was a haphazard process that only prolonged my miserable situation. I'm doing better now than at any time before I found her. What a relief.
I was referred here by my therapist, and I couldn't be happier or more comfortable with Dr. Nasatir and her staff. Dr. Nasatir schedules enough time with clients to really get to know them; previous psychiatrists I've had checked-in with me for 10-15 mins and I was constantly questioning whether I had given them enough information (and, therefore, whether I was prescribed appropriate meds). She also focuses on holistic care, offering recommendations to improve nutrition, interpersonal relationships, sleep hygiene, and mindfulness-based coping skills.I also can't overstate how helpful it is to interact with her professional, kind, and responsive assistant(s). When you have anxiety/depression, sometimes the dread of interacting with impersonal/judgmental staff can be a treatment-seeking barrier. There is a noticeable difference in my interactions with Dr. Nasatir's assistant, Sarah. I feel comfortable calling the office when I have questions/concerns, and just sitting in the waiting room. These things are often overlooked in doctors' offices, and I really appreciate their attention to detail. It makes a world of difference, especially for someone with anxiety.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
