List of Childrens Hospital Of Michigan Troy's Reviews
On Wednesday night (1/17/2024) my daughter had a sleep study done. We were released 4:00am Thursday morning. On the way home I noticed my hands were really itchy. When I got home I go to wash my hands and I noticed about 12 reddish bites marks between both hands. I’m thinking did I get bite by a spider on something. Than I go get in the shower I noticed my neck under my chin and the side of my face was biting all up. So I showed my husband and said those look like bed bugs bit. So I go on google and do my research on bed bugs and the bite marks look exactly like the one I have, not only that they are inflamed and extremely itchy. When I noticed the bite marks on me I immediately check my daughter she was fine thank God. She did sleep in the bed. I slept in a pullout chair. I threw everything I had on in the trash. I pray I didn’t bring anything home with us. I did go to the hospital on Thursday. The doctor let me know that I did get bitten by bugs but he couldn’t identify what type of bug it was because there’s no test that can identify the exact type of bug. They gave me steroids and Benadryl, which really didn’t do anything I’ve been in excruciating, itchy pain for the last two and a half days. I contacted Children’s sleep study department left a voicemail. Which no one has gotten back with me. Which further let me know they knew they had a problem with bed bugs in that room. Maybe they thought they took care of the problem, but clearly they didn’t. This situation has truly traumatized me I have been in itchy pain for the last few days. Which is causing my skin to burn from scratching. Stressed out Hoping and praying I did not bring anything to my home to my family from this hospital.
My daughter was sent to ER by her pediatrician to have an ultrasound done because she was suspected of a bowel obstruction. The ER doctor (Earl Hartwin ) did a covid test and a urinary tract infection test and refused to do the ultrasound I was asking for even though my daughter had excruciating abdominal pain a night before. I explained him the situation from the beginning but he said he doesn't think farther testing it's necessary. When I ask him what I will do if my daughter will be in pain again he said" I don't know". I end up paying for the ultrasound at Basha and just got a $900 bill from the ER. Please save your time and your money and go somewhere else.
The worst hospital I ever been I visited children hospital with my child and we had to wait almost three hours to see a doctor. The hospital was really busy with lots of children, but there was only one doctor available. This made our experience very frustrating. It's important for a children's hospital to have enough doctors so everyone can get help quickly. I hope the hospital can fix this issue so other families don't have the same problem.
After reading all the bad reviews I was iffy about coming to this hospital, but honestly I’m glad I went with my gut and just took my son there. Everyone was super friendly and everything was done in a timely manner. And he even got to walk away with a Christmas present. Thanks for making our first experience great!
I wish I can give this place 0 star. Get ready to wait a long time to get treated and go home with no results.
It is ridiculous how we spent 4 hours waiting on a room for a doctor. I will never come back to this place
This is the only ER I trust for my children!! Hands Down!! The staff are amazing and great with kids.
My daughter was in the Troy ER with her 2 yr old daughter yesterday. Little one has been sick since last Tuesday and her pediatrician told her to go to a children's Hospital ER. After 4 hours they came in and told her that the baby has pneumonia and that they would be transferring her downtown for admission. She called everyone to let them know. As she was waiting for a transfer a young man came in to ask if she had her chest xray done yet! Then the same woman as earlier came back in and said sorry we had the wrong patient, that there was another patient with the same symptoms and name at the downtown ER! WTH!!! They never offered the baby any water in the 5 1/2 hours they were there, even though there was an IV placement they said was just for lab work, could have at least run some fluids to get her hydrated. Then they discharged her with no orders, no breathing treatment done, no answers. My daughter has said they seemed like a bunch of beginner with no beside manner for even an adult, let alone working with children. I am thinking that since my daughter was given someone else's name and test results that somehow there was a HIPAA violation!
Waited 6.5 hours!!!!! Never again! Sick children crying, coughing, screaming just over filling the waiting areas! Parents trying to keep their young sick children entertained for hours waiting to be seen! Rude staff… I wouldn’t take my dog here…
Came here today, was discouraged by ER registration that they had a wait of 4 hours to register, as if my child's needs was not important. I was advised by the primary care physician to bring him here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
