List of Jennifer Sobol's Reviews
Dr. Sobol is wonderful but trying to get a hold of the surgical team in Troy was very difficult. I did not get a call back. Therefore I had to cancel the procedure as they didn't return my phone call all 3 times I called and left a message.
I struggled with recurring and miserable bladder infections for years. I was becoming immune to the limited antibiotics that are out there. My prior urologist threw up his hands and asked me what I thought might be the reason I was having this ongoing problem - as if I knew - that's why I was going to him. Dr. Sobol has been a God-send. She put me on a regimen that worked well for many of her patients. and, so far (2 years), it has worked so well for me. Finally, I'm getting relief from this terrible problem. I am ecstatically grateful for her knowledge and care. She is bright and at the top of her game. Thank you, Dr. Sobol.
So I saw a review for Dr. Sobol that really upset me enough to make a review as a patient of hers myself. Most doctors are extremely booked and busy, dr sobol is well loved and recommended by some of the best doctors I know and trust. People have little patience, claiming you heard her laughing with a patient? You have no idea what she and the patient had discussed before, what if she had Given that patient some news that was scary and needed to spend that extra time with the him/her? Wouldn’t you want that for your family member? One time I waited over an hour in a room for a neurologist, when he eventually came in he apologized and said a patient of his needed some extra time. Show some patience for other patients.. some of us are scared, or need an extra gentle experience because of trauma or anything else, 15-30 minutes is not bad and I’d be happy as ever to wait that long, even over an hour if I ever had to, to see Dr. Sobol. Let’s all as humans take some time to think about other patients, and the fact that doctors are not machines but humans who have to eat, drink, make notes etc too.
Dr. Sobol has been my urologist for several years now and I just love her! I see her yearly after I have a kidney and bladder ultrasound and we meet and go over the results. I also have kidney stones every few years so she directs me to lithotripsy as well. She is so sweet and will give you all the time you need to ask questions or just chat. I always feel like I am talking to a good friend. If you need a urologist, I highly recommend her!
Terrible experience. It’s always expected to wait maybe 15 to 30 minutes after your appointment time to actually see the doctor but when a full hour goes by and you still haven’t seen her, that is unacceptable. Further, I had taken a half hour off work so I could be nice and timely for my appointment, passed up an interview for a job because I have been waiting three months for this appointment, took my dog to daycare so he wouldn’t be cooped up at home longer than usual since my appointment was in the early evening, but ultimately, I left. I could hear the doctor laughing and socializing with the patient in the next room and my anger got The best of me. I waited months for this appt. That’s over an hour of my life I’ll never get back and all without even being seen. I understand the doctors get behind but no one even came in to say she’d be with me shortly or apologize for the wait. I sat in a room looking at the medical posters until my head was spinning all the time thinking about the potential career opportunity I lost due to not wanting to reschedule this appointment. So here I am, back to square one. Looking for a different urologist. Perhaps someone that doesn’t over book and only care about the all made mighty dollar.
Dr. Sobol is the best! She is very straight forward explains things so you understandand. Her personality is very genuine and her caring nature is very reassuring.
I've been seeing Dr. Sobol for several years. She has always been pleasant, and understands my medical problems. She has been diligent in seeking solutions. I highly recommend her.
Love Dr Sobol. She is very caring and through during your visit, spends time with you to answer all your questions and listen to your concerns! Would recommend her to all my family and friends.
Dr. Sobol is amazing and works with you to help with any issues.
This was not my first visit with Michigan Institute of Urology, I have been a patient for several years. I have seen Dr Oldford for over 20 years and he is fantastic!! I have seen Sarah Arnkoff for a few years and just this month I saw Dr Sobel for the first time for a surgical consultation. Dr Sobel was very professional, thorough and compassionate. When she was with me I didn't feel like she was rushing to get through to her next patient but rather she took her time with me and made sure I had no additional questions, listened to what I had to say and explained things thoroughly to me. Like Dr Oldford, I would recommend her to my family and close friends. Also the support staff is excellent too!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
