Oakland Neurologists Pc's Online Review Report Card

I've written very few negative reviews on anything but without question, this was the worst medical practice I've ever dealt with. They continued billing my mom months after payment was made. When I called in an attempt to resolve this, a recorded message indicated they had moved but then didn't allow for a message to be left. Later, when their rep called to confirm a follow-up appt for my mom, I asked if they moved and she said yes as if I should know that. When she began giving me the address, I told her I was in my car and I'd appreciate it if she'd just text the address to me, at which she responded "we don't do text messages". I said ok, then call my number back and leave the address because I'm driving. She didn't answer and just asked to confirm the appt. I told her we'd confirm but need the address. She hung up. We were completely taken aback and today tried to call to cancel the appt and the new phone number is an Urgent Care facility that provides no option to leave a message nor indicates he's a part of the facility. I went online to see if I could find an email address to notify them of the cancellation and there's no email address. Literally, there is no way to contact this office. The lack of any ability to communicate is stunning.

First time at this office. Dr. Burns took his time and went over all of my records and concerns. He was very detailed and had good bedside manner. He told me he would give me a script for PT, and names of specialists. Check out/scheduling was ridiculous. An older woman worked with me. She was rude and impatient. When I asked for the refereals she told me to just call the number on my insurance card. She obviously doesn't have a clue how difficult it is to even reach a caseworker through medicaid insurance. Then, I asked for an afternoon appt because I don't live close by. She offered a 1:30, and when I asked if there was a later, she acted annoyed and said "NO, just a 2:00pm." She hasseled me about a PT script, saying, "doc didn't say anything to me about PT." As if I'm just supposed to leave and come back because the doc walked away. Somehow was able to give it to me after I made a fuss. Imagine that. She left a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm hoping I don't have to deal with her often. I've been seen at offices far more busy where staff don't act like they hate their job and are actually helpful. Rude rude rude!

Terrible, terrible practice to work with. Scheduling appointments was near impossible with a rude staff who kept you waiting, had no patience, and would not work with us at all. I was shocked just by the lack of patient care. Poorly done.
