Dr. David Altman examined me for a routine body scan that we should be getting once a year. Well it's been a few years since I have been to see him and to my surprise he found a pre-cancer mole on my backside that I never saw. I was one lucky girl to get in there when I did it was so close to turning. Melanoma is no joke. Everyone get checked out he is a fantastic doctor.

elsewhere. Sons neurologist sent him to see him for skin biopsy for scerolderma. He was rude and told him had rosacea. Altman refused to do anything. Altman delayed my son's diagnosis by 3 years. If you don't need Botox, and you need a real medical doctor, go someplace else.

Dr. Altman is an outstanding physician for rare skin disorders. 15 years ago he diagnosed my rare type of lupus by site (confirmed through follow up biopsy) and have continued under his care. Even my lupus specialist was unfamiliar! I cannot speak regarding general dermatology, but for anything rare or atypical, he is brilliant. I have referred several people for eval and treatment when other doctors have not been able to diagnose their condition. There has been iccaisiinal where wait time has been 30-60 minutes, but it's not the norm. Regardless, when with him, he listens, researchers and opines. Never rushes and answer questions.

These five stars go to him ONLY!!!!!I have been a patient of Dr. Altman for 17 years. He is very professional. He is probably the smartest person I have ever met. I have complete trust in him. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. DAVID ALTMAN! Front desk is ok, hit or miss. I just went recently to see Dr. Altman for my psoriasis flare. In the room was him, his resident(who was super nice) and some young girl who takes notes. I had to show the Dr and resident the terrible break out on my legs and arms. I caught the young girl staring at my body like she was in complete disgust of me, as if I were beneath her. I caught her and glared at her, she then smiled and went back to note taking because she knew i caught her. Living with psoriasis and having a flare people will stare or ask questions. I should not have to deal with this ignorance at a place where i should feel most comfortable. I was two seconds from making a sene and telling that young immature, unprofessional medical assistant or whatever she was off- Her and her terrible hair and orange skin from tanning to much!!! She should look in the mirror! Instead i called the office after my appointment and told them i did not appreciate what had happened to me, the woman I complained to apologized. It was so hurtful! I will be SURE to let Dr. Altman know MYSELF TOO when i return in two weeks for my visit. If that immature, rude young girl cant stand the sight of skin disorders I would like to know what she is doing working at a dermatologist office?! She has no idea how she made me feel, i hope the next patient she has to assist with Dr. Altman she isn't staring at them in complete disgust- SHAME ON YOU! GROW UP!

Dr Altman has been my dermatologist for more than a decade and I recommend him to friends and family regularly. He is incredibly bright, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr Altman has performed little things as well as a major procedure and I experienced no pain or discomfort whatsoever. Highly recommend.

Great experience with Dr. Altman. I read some other reviews here and am very surprised. He didn't seem arrogant at all. He was professional like a doctor should be. Also a great sense of humor, which made me feel very welcome.
