Advantage Living Center Wayne's Online Review Report Card

If I could give less than a one star review, I would. Unfortunately, my Aunt is still in there and currently in a room with another patient that screams all the time! Trying to get her moved is just frustrating. How can someone relax and go through rehab in that type of environment! She is having a problem with long delays in answering her call light. The TV doesn't even work. PT and OT seem to be on the ball!

Would never come back here. rude staff and the administrator dione is Loud, Rude, and not helpful. Room was dirty and look like it was falling apart and dont get me started on the meals they are equivalent to dione

It started off with the receptionist. She is not friendly at all. The woman who gave me my tour was as sweet as could be. It smelled terrible in the facility. What I witnessed for my short time here was pessimistic. I have friends who work/worked at this facility and warned me of some of the staff, specifically the Executive Director - Dionne. The way I witnessed her speaking to some of the staff members was abysmal. When I spoke to current staff members and asked if Dionne was always like that, I was told that’s an everyday occurrence. The facility is extremely understaffed with Nurses and Nurse Aides. I can see why no one would want to work here. It’s not a welcoming environment. They explained that half the facility is operating due to a flood. So I could not imagine what the work load and stress is like when they are operating at 100%. This is not a good place to work. I don’t want to even give the name of the department my friend(s) work in because she will single them out and bully them into quitting. The horror stories I’ve heard of the management again specifically Dionne is pathetic for a place that’s supposed to be “ Faith Based.” If anything sounds like this place is hell and the devil is in full control.

I gave myself time before writing this review. This facility, unfortunately, is most likely the worst job I have ever had. I LOVED all of my residents. I enjoyed my job. Painting nails, making people smile, giving them something to do in…such a horrible building. All of that love was just not enough to keep me there. The building was always filthy, the smells, the dirt and the staff. Residents were wet 24/7, sat in their BM FOR HOURS! residents were ignored EVEN when alerted to the conditions of their residents. Some nurses would just brush off the fact that residents SAT and LIVED in BM for half the day. I had to see the tears and discomfort from the residents. I would have loved to change them as I would have because I was a aide but I wouldn’t dare do anything that gives this company ammunition to fire me if they didn’t like that I took initiative. There were few staff members who actually was there to work and be civil, while others were there to be invested in politics, gossip, and childish behavior…even though we are not children. Management….icing on the cake. Even in the time of writing this I haven’t received my exit interview. HR was an absolute joke. Between not knowing half of her job description to not keeping up with the tasks she was supposed to handle (staff engagement) [which was a joke and turned in to a “clique”.] The administrator was just as invested in gossip and childish behavior than the staff. Even reception was awful. Sherry is the most disrespectful receptionist I have ever met. Reception is the front line of the building and represents the essence of the company. She was rude and awful. If I had to sum up Advantage Wayne I would say if you aren’t apart of their “clique” you’re more than likely going to be stabbed in the back and be the first off the chopping block. I feel bad for for anybody having to work under the Administrator that I and many others had to deal with. Overall, I loved the residents and my supervisor. That’s it. My coworkers were invested in gossip and apart of the clique so naturally I kept clear of them all. The worst 6 months of my adult life.

My aunt is currently in this place. These people are very neglectful. Her bed is constantly soaked. She’s lucky if she gets changed twice a day. She basically sits in her feces for hours upon hours. This is horrible. More needs to be done for the patients. This isn’t right.

I used to work for this company but I movie on but my sister came there about 3 weeks ago and thanks too all for treating her well. The nurse Joy, cna David, Gay and all the staff thank you so much for taking care of her and also Julie for looking out. Will let everyone know how it is to be taking care of by a wonderful staff please keep up the good work. My heart is still there Norma Simmons

The facility called and stated they had my father in law’s wallet. After driving 3 1/2 hours to retrieve it, they notified me that they could not find it.🤬 As of today 6 July 2020, the wallet is still lost. The Compliance department investigated and came up with a bunch of excuses. They said even though it happened in their facility, I have to make a police report. The person who said “they have the wallet, no longer works there and the facility can not get a hold of him.” I work in the health care industry for 27 years and never seen this kind of leadership/management👎🏽 . I hope this review makes the facility more accountable for instance, following policy and making people accountable for their actions. I also experienced terrible customer service.

This location has an excellent activities and therapy department, the staff does a good job of making you feel at home.

The employees here are good to me. They are very helpful. All around the staff here is doing a really good job. Kudos to everyone.
