Wasn't impressed. Once he found out I use an alternative sleep/pain med (edibles), he wasn't interested in anything else other than that had to be what was causing my symptoms. I tried to tell him that my symptoms were resolving and I was still taking the alternative, but he didn't want to hear that. I only spent five minutes with him; I saw intern for a bit longer.

I had surgery to have a fistula installed in my arm for kidney dialysis access. After three months the site still not healed and not usable. A new surgeon looked at the site and stated the fistula parts are not connected and therefore not usable on any level and a new surgery is warranted. I was not pleased. I would not recommend.

Dr Green refused to talk to me ever to explain emergency surgery that ruined my life and that I refused to agree to. He preformed surgery without my consent and did not follow my advanced care directive and did not contact the person I listed to make decisions for me. Instead, he mutilated me to such a degree that I can not live like this. I went in for neck surgery, acquired heel ulcers and septic shock in the hospital and left almost a month later without a complete colon

Dr. Green is the best. he not only fixed my laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication (that another surgeon messed up) but he made me feel at ease. He is great to talk to and will answer your question with confidence. I have a new leas on life now. Thank you.

On Mothers Day 2012 I went to Metro ER in Grand Rapids with major abdominal pain. Within just a few minutes I was getting a cat scan, and the Dr's determined that my appendix was ready to burst! They called the on call surgeon which was Dr. Joel Green. He was there in minutes, and did a great job! Great Dr! Grand Rapids is lucky to have him here practicing. Thanks Dr. Green

i met with doc for conslatation on gallbladder removal very honest doc.says ill be a challange becouse of my liver dease but feels he can do the surgery.he was my 3 surgen i went to and for some reason i choose him.i felt i could trust him.surgery is on friday the 25 of may at 1.oo oclock ill let you know how it goes.he was very freindly and told me what he would do.i asked him in his opion what did he think,he said take it out.before liver gets worse.he might have to do open surgery
