When given a stage four colon cancer diagnosis when I was 38, I honestly thought I wouldn’t live to see my kids grow up. Then, Dr. McClure entered the room. She enveloped me into the best hug I’ve ever received and told me there was a plan. She broke every single surgeon stereotype… she was kind, compassionate, funny (and it’s hard to make colon cancer funny), truthful and, most of all, she made me believe there was a chance that I did have a future. She was there for me every step of the way. She always was available to answer questions, reassure me, and she checked on me every single step of the way, even when I was out of her care. In fact, I am four years post surgeries, and she is still checking up on me. I also have to say that my scars from Dr. McClure’s surgery are practically invisible, which seems a silly thing to mention when she saved my life, but sometimes that is important too! On the worst day of my life, when I had to put my life in the hands of doctors and surgeons, my husband and I drove home and actually smiled. It was because of Dr. McClure. I trusted her from that first hug. And she saved me. I’ve seen so many important moments with my kids because of Dr. McClure. I could not recommend a surgeon more.

Dr McClure is a skilled surgeon and very good at what she does. I was very nervous and hesitant but she immediately put me at ease. My recovery was quick and she was honest and direct when answering my questions and concerns. I hope I never need her services again but if I do she will be the first surgeon I call.

Dr. McClure saved my life! She did a great job helping me through my diverticulitis surgery and I am getting ready for my ostomy reversal surgery with her soon. My scars are very minimal and recovery has been great with her team. Thank you Dr. McClure, my family and I are so grateful to have you in our lives!

Dr. McClure was able to get me in quickly and has an amazing bed side manner. She puts you at ease in unpleasant situations. Very knowledgeable.
