Literally saved my life! A missed diagnosis at a prior institution, turned into the best outcome possible. Truly beyond specialist, Dr. Akervall PhD, is a caring human being. Throughout the entire ordeal of tongue cancer and subsequent neck dissection, he and his entire staff were fabulous. 10+!!!

Dr. Akervall is the best of the best. Every time I visit any doctor or ER, they notice and marvel at the quality of my neck dissection and ask who performed the surgery. He is a nice person as well. If I had to choose between a nice doctor and an effective doctor, I'd take the effective doctor every time. Fortunately, with Dr. Akervall, you get both!

Drove over an hour to get there on time. When I arrived I was told Dr. Akervall had been called to an emergency surgery and there were no other surgeons available for consultation and I would have to reschedule. I had this appointment for over six weeks. Not acceptable.

Worst doctor I have ever seen. He took no time with me at all! I told him I had a tounge infection for over a month that would not clear up after my PCP treated it 2 x. I explained this to him .He looked at me and said brush your tounge and walked out of the room. Even my kids can see the yellow stuff on my mouth. Really????

It was great! Dr. Akervall was able to notice issues going on with me at first glance. I have been to other ENT's and they always say "we'll just keep an eye on it". It fealt great to finally have a doctor recognize what was going on with me.

This physician took very little time with me, the patient. When I asked a question, he blew me off. He only looked into my mouth for about 2 seconds, then used his special scope to look down only 1 of my nasal passages, then told me it was acid re-flux. He then ordered a CT Scan of my neck which I did 2 days after my appointment (someone felt it necessary for a stat CT). He never contacted me with my results! Exposed me to that much radiation only to not let me know the results of a stat order.....unbelievable! I would not let my worst enemy go see this guy, he is a total joke. PS -His exam rooms are covered in framed photos and menial awards that tell you what a great physician he is. Ego!!! Total pinhead. Don't go see this joker.
