List of Mark Weiner's Reviews
I have been a patient of Dr Weiner for more than 10 years. He treats me for chronic pain that I have had since a horrible spinal surgery in 2008. Dr Weiner is one of the best pain treatment doctors in Michigan. He is extremely personable and allows makes himself available if I need something.
Probably the most uncaring and unsympathetic doctor I have ever encountered, and I have encountered quite a few. After arriving late to the appointment kept interrupted my answers to the questions he asked to count down the amount of time left in the appointment. Wouldn't let me explain the situation before trying to pawn me off on yet another doctor, which REALLY upset me because my Mom has been trying to get help for her issue since October (almost 4 months) when I told him this he actually told me to take her to an emergency room. When I told him he was collecting an office visit for doing nothing he ACTUALLY said "well you made the appointment......" Yeah, he got me there! I DID make the appointment but in my defense it was because I actually thought that he cared about his patients. Don't make the same mistake. See another doctor. ANY other doctor.
Had a virtual appointment after getting a referral to discuss my chronic pain issues and pain since a herniated disc injury, he mostly asked questions about my mental health and said I was not a candidate for his help at this time and suggested I seek therapy and treatment for an eating disorder. He also suggested losing weight to help relieve some of my back pain, even after complaining that I have a hard time doing my own grocery shopping or general self care, let alone exercise, and that my pain issues were what caused me to stop working.
Dr. Wiener is EXCELLENT. He is personable, caring, considerate, and compassionate. But his best trait is that he really listens to his patients to best understand their needs and how he can help them manage chronic pain. I left another (uncaring) pain management physician in Ann Arbor to see Dr. Weiner and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I have been a patient of Dr Weiner for more than 7 years. I see him for the treatment of chronic pain. He is an EXPERT! Before seeing him I was taking the strongest Opioids on the market. I knew the path I was going down and wanted off of it before it was too late. I found Dr Weiner at a Pain Clinic. He is the most passionate doctor I have ever met in my life. When I see less than a 5 star review it can only be because many patients are seeking Opioids. He is there to save their lives. I love this man.
Dr. Weiner has been so very helpful for me since 2009! He is up on the latest in his field, & very conservative in his medical approach. I would encourage anyone experiencing chronic pain, either prior or post surgery, to see him. I do not know what I would do without him. I certainly would not work at the job I'm presently at without his expertise!
8 years ago I had back surgery by one of "the best" surgeons in the country. Unfortunately he used a product that was used off label and not fully approved by the FDA. I was totally unaware of this. The result of my surgery left me with permanent nerve damage and life long nerve pain. After 3 years of Opiod use I wanted off. I hated how it was affecting me me. That's when I found Dr Weiner. He changed my life! This man is THE expert in Chronic Pain! He is compassionate & trustworthy!
Mark W. is concerned about 1 thing only, charging as much to insurance as possible before actually treating. He was vague, unclear on how he was going to treat me, & at giving definitive directions. Every visit, I got "ok, we'll look at this again in 6 weeks." When I was finally able to get him to act, he & his very incapable staff, neglected to pre-authorize my Rx like I had advised that they would need to 4 months earlier. This group is completely incompetent & I would avoid them at all cost.
Was referred to Dr Weiner by my PcP for pain management. I had just done with the second of two cervicle fusions to my neck. I was taking vicadine weiner put me on suboxone which made me very physically ill and suicidal. He and his staff and that woman physicians assistant treated me like I was a low life junky. I left his care and finally got help after spending 72hours in a suicide ward. The doctors there believed I was in pain.
I went to see doctor Wiener in 2010 for pain management after having had the second of two cervicle fusions to my neck and a lower lumbar fusion to my back. I had been taking vicadine for pain was referred by my pcp. Dr. Weiner got me hooked suboxone which made me very ill physically and suicidal. Would not listen to me and I ended up in 72 hours suicide ward.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
