The Corner Health Center's Online Review Report Card

I just wanted to say thank you to Corner Health for helping me almost 10 years ago. I was 18 and dealing with depression and anxiety without any sort of support system. It was hard to navigate living independently and I was definitely struggling with how to access metal health services, the health system as a whole, and insurance. I was recommended to the Corner Health System and I am so grateful that this place existed and specifically had programs targeted towards young adults. They were able to pair me up with a counselor and help me find the right medications. I also wanted to get up to date on all of my vaccines since I was never vaccinated for anything as kid and they were able to put together a schedule where I could slowly get a couple at a time until I was good to go. I'm pretty sure I didn't have any insurance and was definitely broke when I first went there, but I remember it barely costing anything to see the doctor and my counselor, so it's great that this place existed, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get help at the time. They really helped me get out of the rut I was in and get my life heading in the right direction to the point where I felt mentally and financially secure. So again, thank you for existing and helping the community!

Ive been going here for about a year now for primary care and soon ftm hormone therapy (yay!) The Corner Health Center has made medical care so accessible for me as someone who has struggled to find a doctors office who accept trans patients and takes my insurance. The workers are easy to talk to in a way that's casual but not unprofessional, when I'm there I feel at ease and cared for without feeling like there isn't a professional boundary, it's a very safe place. Ive also partaked in some of their non medical activities like the youth theatre group and while I didn't stick around for it dude to schedule conflicts it was very fun! I would recommend Corner Health if youre considering it.

I started going to Corner Health when I was 17 years old and I am now at my end with them since I am finally 26. They have helped me start my journey to be my true self and they have been there through all of my thoughts times. Me dealing with homelessness, my mental health and wellbeing. Such a beautiful and amazing team of people that care so much about everyone who walks through their doors. I am heartbroken to be leaving them but they are a wonderful place for youth that are struggling and I would be struggling so much if I have never been introduced to them. I will forever be grateful and blessed for this team of beautiful human beings. Thank you, Corner health. I love you all.

I've been coming here for years for primary and specialty(ftm) care. I've never been as accepted by the whole staff, who have all been incredibly kind over the years (shout-out to jeremy 🙌). I see Dr. Abou-Arab regularly, but when I might need an appointment when he's not available, any other doctor I've seen has been very kind as well. I have NEVER been treated as well and as a whole person with any other doctor than Dr. Abou-Arab. He's straightforward, knows the answers to my questions, and knows my transition is just like any other medical situation (I've had doctors bounce around asking the right questions and treating me oddly). The front desk or nurses have never made me feel uncomfortable. I see them treat parents and their young children kindly. I would highly recommend Corner for specialty treatment like mine. I would like to suggest them for child care as well, but I personally don't have any deeper insight.

Jeremy Henry was awesome. I came in for a blood draw and not only was he kind and polite, but also efficient and made the entire process feel much better than normal. I’ve never had someone draw my blood with such ease.

I will not be coming back to this doctor's office and I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here as well. They seemed very unprofessional and came off quite rude as well. Especially since the doctor's office seems to be more child-based, if I had a child there's no chance I'm bringing them here, especially considering im an adult and just came in for a simple checkup and was treated poorly. The doctor I spoke with after waiting for an hour in a room, on top of already waiting in the waiting room for an hour and seemed like she didn't really even seem to know the answers to my questions in general. It felt like a waste of money and two hours of my time. I would not recommend going to this facility. The whole time I was sitting waiting for the doctor in the room I could hear the other doctors in the hall just gossiping amongst themselves about other people, It didn't feel very welcoming.

I haven't gone to my appointment yet but the man I talked to on the phone was very nice and respectful and got my appointments scheduled quickly !!

The doctor noted my infant child had an umbilical hernia and I was never told about this! Until I went into a new doctors office and they asked me about it so I looked dumb asf saying I had no idea what they were talking about so I call them and it takes over 45 minutes to read her chart and get back to me and when she does all I get is “Oh It looks like she did note that I apologize she didn’t tell you” EXCUSE ME? You would think that is something you would want to let the mother know?! Plus all through out my pregnancy they told me I gained to much weight and should stop eating so much? I SHOULD WHAT? No thank you I will take my baby and time some where else!

So I call them and ask about it and she says “The doctor did write that and I apologized she didn’t inform you about it. Excuse me? That is outrageous that is a serious issue and for me to have to find out from another office blows my mind and all through my pregnancy they were just rude and made comments that really pissed me tf off.

Very unprofessional practitioners. I was judged and made fun of for requesting testing for unsafe activities I had engaged in.
