Two stars because the actual service is great. Zero stars because billing is a hot mess. You have to pay before you receive service. You are promised a refund after insurance is settled. Unfortunately I did not realize that we were grossly overcharged and never received a refund (or a bill showing we have a credit) UNTIL I was working on my flex spending account, which will only work with EOB contracted amounts. I called the local office who transferred me to billing and Bridget said "oops, yes you have a credit and there are no notes on your account to give you a refund." and went on to further explain "we are just processing our refunds now." I cannot expect a refund on these payments I made (some as old as 14 months) for another 30 days.I am writing this review to caution anyone who pays up front and is promised a refund to FOLLOW UP by reading your EOBs from your insurance company and FOLLOW UP by making sure you get a refund. I am sad I just trusted the word from the local Allegan office that we would have received a refund.Also make sure you notify your insurance company if they do not give you a refund in a timely manner. They are contracted with your insurance company to do this.The service was great, long waits to get appointments, they did fail to tell me that an appointment was cancelled due to COVID. It's sad that we have to look for another dentist as we were happy with their services. Just not happy with billing.

The location I went to has no clue what they are doing. The cost they demanded me to pay up front was way over my copay requirement. When I asked if they verified my portion with my dental insurance I was told I did not have any. I told them that it should be on file but the girl hadnt even looked. She called me back...she found the information but the amout didnt change. I instructed again they need to verify my insurance before I agree to pay anything. They threatened to cancel my appointment after it had been rescheduled 3 times. Upon arrival the amount they gave me on the phone was not correct it was MORE. I agreed to pay the amount given over the phone and they would have to bill me for any additional amounts. Guess what....my dental insurance EOB confirmed much less.....now they owe me money. YOU SHOULD BE CALLING INSRANCE COMPANIES FIRST NOT GUESSING THE AMOUNT PEOPLE OWE. Definitely finding another dentist.Finally received a call back after 5 weeks of leaving messages and I was told there didn't seem to be any payment on file. I advised there is a payment for my December appointment. I have a procedure receipt as well as a credit card receipt from their machine and the amount they required me to pay was $30 over what my insurance says I owe because they didn't verify benefits before my appointment so they owed me money back. The woman on the phone said well there did seem to be a balance of $30 but that it's been zeroed out and I said no that is the amount of the overpayment that you owe me. I also stated that if people would listen to the voice mails and call people back maybe then they wouldn't be misappropriating and stealing money they owe to a patient. I advised her to get with a biller and get the refund check mailed out within the week. After another week and a half and no check I left yet another message with the office as well as headquarters....low and behold I get a call back the next morning and they mailed my check. It shouldn't take 6 weeks to get money back from a provider when they don't do their billing right from the start. Maybe they should consider getting rid of that biller who obviously doesn't know what they're doing and get someone that is more efficient and honest.
I have registered as a patient there a couple of months ago. I have called the sturgis office twice and left messages trying get to make an appointment, it is now November and no one has yet to call me back to set one up, I have four teeth in desperate need of care and I am still unable to get an appointment
I have always had bad experiences with dentist and I have sever dental anxiety. Since Ive been going here to the Monroe office, my fear has completely went away. Everyone there is so friendly and they really listen to what you have to say. I love this place and all of the staff!
I go to the Hillsdale MCDC. I absolutely love this office. The receptionist is extremely friendly and welcoming. Their office is super clean and sterile. Our hygienist is hilary whom we love. My son is two years old, hes been coming here since he first sprouted teeth. Very kid friendly here. We moved to Ohio and will continue to come here. Its a drive for us but worth it BC rarely will you find an office that you are 100 % happy with. I always recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a dental practice.
I took my son to the Roscommon office this morning first time to the dentist and the whole staff was awesome. The hygienist explained everything to him very friendly and he was only a few minutes late for school. Keep up the great work!!�
I am so glad I found this Dental Office. The last DDS I went to wanted me to have a tooth pulled and I didnt want to because it was one of my chewing teeth. MCDC is saving my tooth. I highly recommend the Roscommon Office.
Our 4 year old son had a dental emergency yesterday. They fit us in immediately and did all they could to help. Hes feeling much better today, thanks to them!
I have had nothing but good with the staff at the Big Rapids office. Dr Cassie and all helpers have been great. A little slow at times to get in on time but thatis expected sometimes. Extremely friendly. I have 1 more fitting for top denture and then the final and all have been extremely helpful in letting me know what is going on. Thanks a lot!
Couldnt get into the manistee office right away.. Big Rapids got me in the next day!! Staff was amazing, highly recommend mcdc!!
I usually have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist. But I have to say my visit to the Cedar Springs clinic was a very different experience. The staff was friendly and warm, and Dr. Brian was so gentle and calming. The filling was quick and painless, and I’m very happy with the results. For the first time ever, I can honestly say I had no anxiety. No small thing! Dr. Brian and the assistant, Marjorie, made every effort to make me comfortable. I will definitely be going back (though hopefully not too often �)
Loved the cedar location until both my daughter and I are in pain after everything should be healed and 3 weeks later shes still eating only mashed potatoes and yogurts
Tried the new Cedar Springs location this morning for an emergency visit before our cleanings. Super easy and very friendly registration and scheduling over the phone. Arrived at the office to a very friendly staff and dentist, love the location. Great office and they made my son feel extremely relaxed today as he had to have a baby tooth removed due to an abscess. Not a fun procedure but the staff was amazing and he left with a smile, after a couple tears �.
The MCDC in port Huron mi. I am terrified of the dentist and they made sure I was very comfortable and in no pain. The staff was very professional and very polite. I highly recommend this location.
I had a terrible experience at the new Howell office. Waited 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be called back. Once I was back in my room, it took over 40 minutes for my regular teeth cleaning, Xrays, and my oral exam to be done. While getting my exam done, the doctor did not introduce himself, which I found to be very rude. No apologies were made to me about how long I was actually in the office for, (which was about an hour and a half total), and I had to hear complaints from the staff about being understaffed for the day.
Im very grateful for my experience in the Mt. Pleasant location! Kendra was my hygienist, and Dr. Tackett (I believe?) was my dentist. Id broken part of my last wisdom tooth, had to wait a few days, and was able to be seen not long after Id arrived. Kendra was very kind, and Dr. Tackett was very tothepoint and quick with the procedure! Its been three days since the rest of my wisdom tooth has been pulled, and so far, I am experiencing very little in the way of negative results! Bless this office for squeezing me in between scheduled patients so I could get the help I needed thank you so much!
Your dental center is awesome. I just had my uppers pulled this morning. All the staff was so kind, and I am having no pain at all. The Novocain has wore off and I still have no pain. This is a wonderful dental facility. I will be recommending your office to everyone I know. Vary vary awesome.. thank you so vary much For the excellence of your office!!!!
I absolutely hate the office in Mt. Pleasant! I have had nothing but problems since having to go there. The first time I ever went there I had to have a tooth pulled and the main dentist there gave me such a bad anxiety attack. When I went there today for a filling I asked NOT to be numbed!!!! But he didnt listen at all and numbed me anyways, there are reasons why I dont want to be numbed for fillings and I would expect to be respected on my decisions when it comes to my body not be completely ignored!!!! After the novacane wore off finally I was in so much pain, ( and still am in a lot of pain) I could barely open my mouth, it hurt to swallow and my mouth was all cut up. If this wasnt the only place that takes my insurance I would NEVER go back there!!!!!
