During my brief consult with Dr. Heaton before my surgery, I learned 1. He never makes it home for dinner because he works 36hour days 2. Wishes hed become a dermatologist because they charge a lot for their services and work parttime 3. He is cold and uncaring. I was told Id see him before and after my surgery. My encounter with him before the surgery was 20 seconds long. He asked if I had questions. I said no, and he had me sign a form. I never saw him afterwards. He spoke briefly with my husband and left for the day. His bio says he he believes every patient should be treated as if they were family. I pity his family.
Dr Heaton performed pancreatic cancer surgery on me in 2011 due to a neuroendocrine tumor. He also removed my spleen and gall bladder in the same surgery. I was a bit of a challenge as I was not in the best of health at the time of surgery. He has a very engaging personality and takes time to explain every aspect of the surgery and answers your questions thoroughly. Dr Heaton brought me through the surgery and the after care splendidly and I would recommend him to anyone.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Heaton to family and friends. He was competent and very attentive to whatever questions/concerns I had regarding my surgery. I never felt rushed and he has a great temperament and sense of humor.

Dr. Heaton originally diagnosed a rare cancer I had back in 2015. He then performed the first of two surgeries i had to remove the tumor. Dr. Heaton has a tremendous bedside manner and he is an excellent listener. He takes the patients concerns very seriously and is a compassionate doctor. Dr. Heaton is the type of doctor you want when you are going through a very difficult challenge like cancer.
Amazing doctor . . . Caring, thorough and supportive. Talented surgeon with superb skills.
Dr. Keith Heaton successfully performed a Whipple procedure on me in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1998. He was the most caring, thorough doctor I have ever had. He always took the time to listen and answer all of my questions. He did an excellent job and gave me my life back. Because of his expertise, I was able to watch my kids grow up, and continue living a very productive life. I would recommend Dr. Heaton to anyone who needed surgery. Thank you Dr. Heaton!
