I have been under Dr. Muckermans care for 20 years now. He is intelligent, honest, and if not for the high quality of care, I would not have my healthy son. Whether visiting for womens care or fertility concerns, he is outstanding. I highly recommend his service for his professionalism and compassion.
I have been a patient of Dr. Muckerman's for 27 years. He delivered three of my children and would have delivered the first one had I known about him. He has always been a wonderful doctor and administered quality care in obgyn and maternity. He genuinely cares about his patients and the babies he delivers!

Hes the best....that is all!
Dr. Muckerman is a RUDE, CONDESCENDING, POMPOUS, UNPROFESSIONAL EXCUSE FOR A DOCTOR. AVOID GOING TO HIM FOR ANYTHING MEDICALLY RELATED
Dr. Muckerman is an excellent and caring doctor. I had complications with two of my pregnancies and he was amazing in his response and care. He even sent flowers following my last complication. This speaks volumes about his compassion. Great doctor!
I can imagine anyone better to see as an OBGYN. Dr. Muckerman has seen me through three pregnancies, all high risk for different reasons. He care for his patients to the point of sacrificing his own personal time. Every nurse and nurse practicioner I have met tells me they love to work with him and he is one of the best in the area. Even though I did not give 5 stars on promptness, one must allow that he is an OBGYN and babies come when they want to come. He delivers his patients himself if at all possible. I dont mind waiting a little longer when he has an emergency csection at the hospital to save the life of a baby.
Ive been going to Dr. Muckerman II for over 20 years. I am surprised at the low reviews. I can tell you that he has taken excellent care of me. As a young woman when diagnosed that I may have to have a hysterectomy, we looked at many options. He completed the first surgery but stated he felt it would be best to wait and look at other options before doing a full hysterectomy. We changed doctors when we left the area but the opinions concured with his original diagonosis. Upon our return to the area, I had another doctor but she was AWFUL! So we finally found Dr. Muckermans current office and returned. He gave us 15 years to see if we were going to attempt to have biological children. Then it was evident that a hysterectomy was needed and again after seeking other options, we chose Dr. Muckerman to do our surgery. He took excellent care of me, stayed in communication with my family and his bedside manor was above par.My complaint is that Ive had to wait over an hr from my initial appointment time before I can get in to see him. However, I get the same excellent care and time when he is seeing me.
Fantastic Doctor, extremely knowledgable. I highly recommend him and have to friends. He delivered my first son and will be soon delivering our second child.
if you are a pharmaceutical sales rep or a woman who knows nothing about her own body and wants a doctor to condescend to her for nine months. Im not at all suprised by the litany of horrorstory reviews Dr. Muckermans practice specializes in scare tactics and drugpeddling. He delivered our first daughter, and I was appalled by the way he treated my wife. He clearly puts his own needs ahead of his patients. Dr. Muckerman is not a mistake youll make twice. Avoid him, and find a doctor who cares about his/her patients.
From the first visit I felt very welcome. Dr. Muckerman and his staff were always willing to answer any questions/concerns I had during my pregnancy. I always felt that my best interest and health was a top priority.
If you are pregnant and waiting in the lobby for several hours telling yourself that Muckerman will be there for you when it is your turn... then this note is for you. He induced me and was not there. Luckily for us our baby lived. Unfortunately, I have lifelong damage. Our daughter was born two years ago. I had fourth degree tearing (though Muckerman lied and said it was third degree in my hospital records so I dont have a suit). The tearing was not the bad part. The extensive nerve damage due to waiting for him to showup caused the reallife long damage that has impacted my career, intimacy with my husband, the ability to carry another child, fecal incontinence, the list goes on... Every aspect of our life was turned upside down. It took Dr Muckerman an hour and half to sew me up after delivery. He was not there when I needed him. The nurses called many times to contact him and let him know that the pregnanacy was progressing. The nurses encouraged me to have an epidural as the baby was under distress. They gave me an epidural at 8cm and when they rolled me back over I was 10cm. I waited another 2hours at 10cm for Dr Muckerman to arrive. From the time he arrived to the time our baby was delivered, 5minutes. The nerve damage, while difficult to prove, was due to prolonged delivery. I am a 34year old woman and have one shot at surgery to fix cystocele, rectocele, and prolapse. Sadly, due to the lack of nerve recovery the success of the surgery and the likelihood that the fix it will last the rest of my life is not likely. Plus, surgeons tell me that the surgery will not help me from a pain nor functionality point of view. I pray that is not true. Also, since I have oneshot at this I am waiting until our child is 3 or 4 as I will not be able to pick her up after surgery. The first year of our babys life I not only had to quit my job we had to hire fulltime help because I could not pickup our baby with out a lot of pain. After 15months of physical therapy and the use of a pessary, I am able to pick up our 2year old... though it is painful. I believe that much of this was preventable. If Muckerman had been there (note he did induce me) then perhaps he could have delivered when it was natural to deliver or he could have quickly assessed the situation and said lets do a csection. Either way, the impact would have been minimal in comparison. This has greatly impacted our family financially, emotionally, you name it. I was a runner. I have been told by surgeons that I will not run again. I lost all feeling in the pelvic floor so clearly that impacts intimacy... I am grateful to be able to pickup my daughter right now however it is very painful. I have fought may way back to work and have a number or workarounds to address my humiliating fecal incontinence. If Muckerman is your doctor, I strongly urge you to make a change. If you dont believe me, keep reading. There are many families who have been impacted by this guy. It does not matter what stage you are in your pregnancy... Now is the best time to make a change. Please do not let him hurt you!
Dr Muckerman helped me through a very difficult pregnancy. I spent 2 1/2 months in St johns Mercy waiting for my daughter to be born. He faught with the insurance comapny that wanted to send me home at least once a week. He is a very caring doctor. He has been my doctor for 27 years. He is my mothers doctor and now the little baby gorl he delivered 20 years ago is his patient too.
Dr. Muckerman, my longtime then trusted ob/gyn, removed my uterus and both ovaries (castrat***) for a benign cyst on one ovary. He used ovarian cance ...
Muckermans bed side manner is horrible at best. He is concerned about making money not helping or taking care of people. There are many women in the St. Louis area who have had near death expericences due to his neglect. I am embarassed to say he use to be my doctor. Thank God for the nurses and resident doctors on staff or I would not be here nor would my child.
Had my second son delivered by Dr Muckerman. I believe Dr Muckerman is WAY over booked! I have been left to wait FOREVER in both the waiting room and the exam room. I have also found his nurse to be very rude and doesnt seem to want to be there!
Dr. Muckerman delivered my two daughters. I have referred so many people to him whom are all very happy and think the world of him. You are in good hands with this doctor. I have changed doctors because of insurance change and now I have insurance where he is a provider again...and am so happy and feel safe that hes my ob/gyn. I highly recommend him if you are searching for an excellent doctor!
After reading the other reviews, I am shocked. I have had wonderful experiences with Dr. Muckerman. I am pregnant with my second child and will continue to see Dr. Muckerman. He is always kind and courteous. He asks how my first child is doing and even remembers my husbands name. The timeliness of the doctor is sometimes an issue, however, if I were in labor I would not want him to leave me at the hospital and go to his office for appointments. Just put it in persective.
I worked with this Doctor and he really likes his money,so if you dont mind being a number on the wall the a dollar smount next to it sign up youll get along great but if you want compassion/caring and good treatment see his partner Dr.George.
I have waited up to 1.5 hours to see him when I have an appointment. He rushes through your appointment and doesnt seem to care to get to know you. He could at least pretend to care! I have been in the middle of asking a question as he is backing out of the room and on to the next patient. He simply has too many patients and not enough time.
