He wouldn't sign the discharge papers unless my mom would sign a DNR order. Then he would discharge her. He was basically trying to force her to sign it against her wishes we had to get another Dr to sign her discharge papers so she could come home from the Bethany nursing home rehabilitation center. Sad and very unethical way of practice. I feel for the countless others he has done this to that may have had their lives shortened in this fashion.

It was aweful he wouldn't agree to sign my mother's discharge papers unless she would sign a DNR. She wants to be on full code status. Everyone at the nursing home rehabilitation center said she's doing good and ready to go home but he wants her to sign the DNR before he would release her. Blackmail is what he was doing to her. We had to go to another Dr to get her discharge papers signed. Totally enethical on his part. No patient should be forced to sign a DNR because he thinks it's good for her. He's not God.
