Dr Monroe really cares about her patients, she does her very best to control pain after surgery as well as follow-ups. She likes to keep in contact with her patients and want to know how they are doing post surgery, Even 6 months later.

When I brought my concern about my shoulder to Miss Emily Monroe, MD., She listened to my symptoms and helped me pinpoint the problem which turned out to be that I tore my rotator cuff and I had a click of my shoulder hitting my collarbone and we found that by way of ultrasound as we found there was a narrow spacing of the joints. She quickly added me to her surgery schedule to repair my shoulder as soon as she could. She had me restart physical therapy at a slower pace because this time we need to be careful to not dislodge the anchors and this time she used a graft from a pig to graft over my tear to give it more stability to repair itself. and because I have a lower rate of recovery. So instead of having a 80% chance of full recovery with 80% range of motion and capabilities of the original tendon I now have an 60% chance of 60% recovery but have been frankly told that I will probably have a limitation of less than 100% because of the damage the 3rd time around which is fine with me as long as I can brush my own hair and put it into a ponytail. Beyond that I'm fine with whatever limitations that'll be at the end because there’s really nothing I can do except just gently get through physical therapy and continue with the exercises at home so that when physical therapy ends I can continue with the physical therapy as it should progress to try to get back to 100 carefully but also listen to my body as I go. When it says uh no we can’t do that , then well…we just can’t do that!
