Awful Experience. I made 3 appoints 2 were canceled and one was rescheduled for over the phone later the same day. I'm looking at what is in network for my insurance I will go here again. I realize I visited this company 20 years and got health care so bad that I refused help for the rest of my life. Go somewhere else.

We used Steven Smith at the Nystrom & Associates in Baxter/Brainerd for weekly virtual Family Therapy, but only for a few months. Steven was very unprofessional, inconsistent, and liked to change things just as our 7 am session would start. I spoke to him amount my concerns two seperate times in the past. Each time Steven would always apologize, and reassure me that things would improve, but they never did. In fact, in the end, Steven became unresponsive, after asking him multiple times to speak with his manager. So, we were forced to find a new Family Therapist. I strongly do not recommend useing Steven Smith for therapy. Nystrom & Asso. has so many other responsive therapists to work with instead. Also, Steven never created goals, or had us work towards anything. We only talked about whatever came to our mind. There were a few sessions that if my daughters were not able to think of things to talk about (from 7 am - 8am), Steven would end the session up to 30 minutes early. Please understand that Hennepin County CPS removed my daughters from my ex and her husband due to many types of abuse, including sexual. My point is there is a lot to work on, and there was no reason for Steven to cut so many of our sessions short. We still like Nystrom & Associates. My daughters still see their individual therapists at the Bloomington Office.

I've been a victim of people in the medical field treating me wrong and very bad so I was very skeptical but my experience here and especially with the ARHMS program has been very positive and hopefully enlightening to all concerned. Thank you.

If you need actual mental health help, DO NOT GO HERE!! I had 2 different therapist that called in every other session. I call to schedule an appointment and without a doubt I always get someone who has an attitude or is just rude. If you’re new or want to see someone new it’s going to be a good 2 months at that. I have bad anxiety and I couldn’t get my self to show up to an appointment and now I’m not allowed to schedule? Everybody that I have seen hasn’t even acted like they cared. Dealing with nystroms is such a big headache, and honestly so draining. If you’re looking for actual help please please don’t go here.

Just started therapy here Looking forward to building a relationship with my therapist and continuing my mental health journey Only downside is app for the telehealth Due to location I'm not able to do in person right now and with the app Life-size it was not the easiest to find a device I could use other than my phone would much rather have a bigger screen to do my visit on and then the connection Previous therapist I've had use the zoom or Google meets and those work way better But the therapist seems wonderful and the place themselves nystrom & associates seems to be a great place to get started and find the right care
